Tuesday's lunar eclipse at 17degrees in Capricorn will create a focus on the 'partners' of the US, health and welfare, jobs and scarcity.  As this newsletter is written, CNN is reporting that President Obama is in the Soviet Union meeting with that country's leader to discuss the threat of North Korea's nuclear advancement.
Capricorn is the natural ruler of the 10th house of business, priorities and reputation, and it is in these areas we will all see events occur.  Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn, the planet of austerity and hard work. The eclipse opposes the Sun of the US within 5 degrees, meaning the health and welfare of the Country is concerned, with an emphasis  on men.
Author Celeste Teal calls the eclipse "National Concerns," and writes, "The eclipse brings state executives, law enforcement authorities, and business matters to the fore.  Eclipse is in the degree of fixed star Wega: public disgrace, losses through writings or forgery, gains through pensions and annuities.  For the USA with emphasis to the sun: challenges, but with good chances for success to follow.  Situations are uncertain, mysterious, and surprising regarding issues abroad. Changes in international affairs.  Shipping disputes and discontent of sailors.  Political excitement.  The President is subject to surprising developments, unpopularity, and/or intrigue.  Spread of mysticism, religious disputes.  This eclipse is of emphasis for Cuba, Russia, Japan, Phoenix, Vatican City, Los Angeles, the NYSE and the Twin Towers.  (activity at ground zero?)"
Mars, at 26 degrees of Taurus complicates the picture, squaring both Jupiter and Uranus on the 7th bringing unexpected events to the front, with a possibility of military skirmishes, changes and issues with foreigners and foreign people, young people as well as the law and financial markets. Expect unusual weather conditions involving water. Expect the unexpected is the key word both in the world and your personal life.  If you feel friction in your own life, let the energy pass, and don't take unnecessary risks.
