The Sun entered Leo yesterday following Venus's entrance (on the 14th July) in the sign that is the natural ruler of the 5th house of love affairs, children, friends and entertainment. The Sun will remain at 1 degree in Leo through Thursday.   This is significant in that the Sun usually advances 1 degree per day, rather than taking three days to move to 2 degrees. Those most effected by this will be Leos, those born under the sign of Taurus,  Aquarians and Scorpios who were born at the very beginning of their Sun cycle, or those with planets that are aspected by 1-3 degrees of Leo. This Saturday, the 26th of July, Mercury, the planet of communication enters Leo as well, meaning that communication will pick up and take on a Leo-like tone, as opposed to the slower, more deliberate Virgo approach.  What does all of this mean?  We will all move into a period where events, communication and love become more ardent,aggressive and fire like in nature! Leo is described as loyal, outspoken, ardent, kindly, tolerant, ardent, philanthropic, inspirational, magnetic, hopeful, chivalrous, and idealistic.  On the less than positive side we can use the words  arrogant, dictatorial, condescending, pompous and domineering.  But, however you cut the pie, it's all about Leo, with three of the 10 planets in this sign.
These planets will bring the most benefit to Leos of course, and it is favorable in terms of matters of the heart to Aires, as this places the planets in their fifth house of love, friendships and entertainment!  We have a full moon/eclipse in Leo on August 1st and that will be the subject of my next newsletter!
