We have 2 eclipses next month (July), beginning with a full moon/ lunar eclipse at 17 degrees in Capricorn and a solar eclipse on the new moon, July 22, at 29 degrees in Cancer. This will make July an intense month full of action, unexpected surprises, challenges, and hidden agendas coming out into the light.
Eclipses are like beacons shining a light on events that will occur throughout the year. There is some debate as to how long the effects of an eclipse will affect us, and I favor the longer time frames which means the eclipse can have an effect for years to come.
Capricorn (lunar eclipse, July 7) is the natural ruler of the 10th house of career, business and priorities and Cancer (solar eclipse, July 22) is the natural ruler of the 4th house representing the home, the foundation of our lives, families, and beginnings and endings. So, it is within these areas that changes will occur collectively and individually.
The July 7 eclipse in Capricorn opposes the Sun of the US, which means we are in for further challenges concerning those who would be considered the open 'enemies' of the US, and additional fluctuations in business and financial markets. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the sign of austerity and achievement through and hard work.
The July 22 eclipse in Cancer relates to the home, the homeland itself, family and nurturing. There is concern/interest relating to the past, and it is time to spend quality time with those closest to you. Cancer is ruled by the moon which relates to women, the home, emotions, and is constantly changing.
These eclipses will especially affect those who have a personal planet being aspected within 14-20 degrees of Capricorn, and the latter within 25-29 degrees of Cancer.
Of course it is not possible to say exactly what the eclipse will bring each individual without looking at the entire chart. However, the eclipses will put a focus on each individual sun sign according to the house it falls in.
