This week is perhaps, astrologically, the most important of the year. A new moon occurs on Friday, September 18, at 25 degrees of Virgo .What makes this new moon special is that it sets off the Saturn-Uranus opposition, as it is at the exact degree of Saturn which is opposing Uranus. We can expect the unexpected, as Uranus is the planet of unexpected surprises, not all of them pleasant. Uranus rules airplanes, erratic weather conditions, technology, and explosive situations in general.

On the 17th, the day before, Saturn conjuncts the Sun. This aspect occurs only every 40 years, and is harsh in nature. It is time to pay the piper for past indiscretions, and it is time to get real. It is likely we will see some major world events, and health care will be at the forefront. Mercury is retrograde at 1 degree of Libra, and will square Pluto in Capricorn, bringing the press into the foray in a big way, and it is likely we will see major power struggles within our government, and some unexpected information may be revealed at this time relating to big business.

September 15 and 16, Venus opposes Neptune, the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion. It may be a great day for those in the creative fields, but my advise to anyone else is don't believe anything you hear. It is a perfect transit for scandal, and in all likelihood as we tune in to CNN or your news channel of choice, we will be listening to propaganda, and lies are likely to be revealed, or told at this time.

When Mercury retrogrades into Virgo September 18-29 the focus will be on jobs and health care reform with much bitterness ensuing. The current proposed health care reform package(s) may be reworked further. September 21-23 will be especially frustrating days as Mercury conjuncts Saturn bringing more harsh news and information, and opposes Uranus bringing unexpected communication, bitterness among government officials, threats, and unexpected twists and turns relating to jobs, health care and foreign powers. It is not a good time for travel or transportation, in general, and there will be tensions abroad and relating to foreign issues.

We are in for major change as a society, and if this opposition happens to hit a personal planet in your own chart, there will be major change,transformation, and upheaval in your life at this time in whatever area of your chart this is occurring.Other people may become combative and oppositional and it is a time of testing. We are at the precipice of a new world order that will hopefully become more moral and just. Whatever withstands the test of this time will be better for it.
