President Obama and the big 3:Pluto:Uranus and Neptune
President Obama has three major transits that are prominent in his astrological birth chart at this time. Those transits are Uranus opposing Mars, Neptune opposing Uranus, and Pluto opposing Venus.
Born on August 4, 1961 at 7:24PM in Hawaii, Uranus is opposing the President's Mars at this time, and will become exact for the third and final pass in October and November of this year. Uranus opposing Mars is often referred to as an 'accidental transit," and I would urge caution to anyone experiencing this combination, as well as caution with health matters, in general. Uranus acts swiftly, in ways that are unexpected and often shocking. When Uranus transits Mars there is excitement, and energy that may be difficult to handle, even explosive. This is a transit of disharmony and anger, and 'blocked movement.' It can indicate recklessness, and the desire to take risks that would otherwise not occur. There can be danger through police or military affairs, frustrations, and conflict over taxes, and insurance--health care reform in the US. Using his time of birth, we can determine the area of his life this transit will most likely affect him, and it is occurring in his the 7th house of of partnerships. So, it is this area of the President's life these changes will occur, especially as it comes into exact orb next month.
When a transit occurs in an opposition it is usually another person that causes the problem, and in this case it will be the President's partners. So, who are the President's partners? Of course the obvious and first partner would be his wife, Michelle. Secondly, the Vice-President, his staff, the czars, and Congress. So, it is likely that we will see disruptive events involving those closest to him.
The next major transit in President Obama's chart is the generational Neptune opposing Uranus. It will affect everyone about the same age and indicates similar experiences for those in that age range. Neptune creates vagueness and gullibility, and is the planet of confusion, delusion and illusion. Again, this transit lands squarely in his house of partnerships. In many cases this transit brings 'partners' whose counsel is less than trustworthy, or who turn out to be unworthy of the position they are given. There can be confusing images about a partner. At worst it can bring scandal, or scandal to the President's partner's, (cabinet)or those closest. As the transit is in the form of an opposition, his woes will come from those around him. Critics are already claiming the Presidents czars have not been properly vetted. Often, the transit can stimulate idealism by seeking new philosophies, but the danger lies in not knowing all of the facts or trusting unwise advise. At it's worst it can create a desire for independence that becomes inflated to such the degree the person pursues their own course in the face of all reason, sometimes driven by what is considered the idealistic voice of conscience, and plans often misfire. Anyone experiencing this transit is likely to be 'taken in' by others/partners, only to suffer disillusionment. This transit is almost exact within 2 degrees and will become exact again January-February of 2010 and again in November of 2010.
Lastly, Mr. Obama has Pluto opposing Venus at 1 degree in Capricorn. This aspect occurs in his 11th house of what is considered friends, hopes and wishes to his fifth house of children, friends, and love affairs. Venus is linked to money, values, relationships and creativity, and he will experience it through fifth house situations and it will be in these areas that transformation and disruption will occur via other people.
First of all, Pluto-Venus will test the validity of an existing relationship or marriage, and a partner can experience real troubles, and in the worst case scenario, death. As it is in the fifth house his children will be a focus no doubt as they are very much on the world stage. This transit activates intense feelings and can arouse deep seated anger. Pluto/Venus can also mean that we are on the receiving end other peoples' rage. It is likely friendships will change, and those which last will evolve with deeper meaning. As Venus is associated with values and money, a transit to Venus could alter decisions or values concerning wealth and money. As old values alter we can be adrift before new ones emerge. On another level this transit can indicate scandal for the President, his friends and those closest. As Pluto rules the media, no doubt the eyes of the world will be upon him, and there may be times in the future he is at war with the media. This transit becomes exact again mid-October through November and again late summer into early fall of 2010.
The President's mettle will be tested, as any one of these major transits is considered life altering and it will take a steady heart and head for the President to remain resistant over the next 18 months.
