For some time now, I have predicted that  VP Republican Nominee Sarah Palin was surrounded by deception, scandal and secrecy.  Of course, we can visibly see the secrecy in terms of her limited interviews with the press.  Tonight, CNN reports that Sarah broke no laws, but abused the power of her office as Governor of Alaska. This is represented in her chart by Neptune conjunct her Sun (exact at 21 degrees of Aquarius, Mars 23 degrees of Aquarius, and Saturn at 25 degrees in Aquarius.)  Sarah is a triple Aquarian and will be under this influence for some time to come through 2110. More scandal will emerge next year in the spring as well, that will involve her husband or a male figure.
 
Sun/Neptune is an interesting, somewhat enticing transit that usually confers some type of mysterious condition, especially relating to male figures in the individual's life. It causes a person to sometimes devote themselves to an ideal or cause, and there will always be an element of sacrifice involved.  It leads to unusual lines of thinking and a person under this influence is usually surrounded by mysterious circumstances and may use reasoning that flies in the face of reason.  In some cases, the person my attain a high state of spirituality that involves personal sacrifice, and foregoing the ego.  Neptune erodes the personal ego, and there is most often an element of deception surrounding the individual at the time, even if it is self deception. It can also indicate slander, and false accusations.
 
Saturn recently conjuncted Pluto in Sarah's chart at 13 degrees of Virgo.  Saturn-Pluto often indicates legal difficulty/ issues problems in work (Virgo) This transit brought the situation that has lead to the reports of abuse of office out into the open.
 
Several weeks ago, I predicted that Republican Nominee John McCain's campaign would take a down turn this week and last. Saturn has conjuncted Neptune in his chart at 16 degrees of Virgo, a transit that would confer disappointment, and often bitterness, as a direct result.  Again a heavy Neptune influence.  Many of the barbs John McCain throws at his opponent have indeed been debunked as untruths.(I'm not saying the other side isn't doing some of the same) Public misdeeds may come out as a result of this transit, as well, and again, enormous confusion at this time.
 
I believe John McCain's campaign  does not have time to recover from this recent Saturn transit to overcome Senator Obama, but this is an election the likes of which we have never seen, and nothing can be taken for granted considering we are leading up to one of the most disrupting and revolutionary transits of all- Saturn opposing Uranus which becomes exact the day before the Presidential election.
 
The G 7 meet in Washington, DC to discuss the global banking crisis tomorrow, Saturday the 11th. They could not be meeting at a more confusing time with Venus squaring Neptune at 21 degrees in Scorpio.  It is unlikely there will be a satisfactory conclusion and again that prominent Neptune...lack of clarity, cloudiness, and downright deception. This transit calls for absolute clarity, a vigorous plan of action and adhering to truth and the facts.  I expect there will also be more news relating to possible voter fraud involving an organization called Acorn over the weekend.
