Saturn, the planet of restriction, hard work, and ultimately growth, entered Libra October 29 after a two year stay in the sign Virgo, and this will bring about a significant shift in focus for the world and for all individuals.

Since September of 2007 Saturn, "the taskmaster," has tested our limits and demanded more in terms of critical issues relating to work, service to other's, health, nutrition and fitness.  We're not completely  finished with these issues as Saturn will return to Virgo for a final 4 month stay April 8-July 22, 2010.

As Saturn entered Libra  the energy  started  a slow shift toward more balance as Libra is the natural ruler of the seventh house of relationships and partnerships and it is in this area  our attention will turn. The downside to this is that collectively and as individuals, we may be less willing to stand up for our rights.

The ruling planet of Libra is Venus, and Saturn exalted in Libra meaning the planet is able to to express itself strongly.

So, while our attention will turn toward relationships and  partnerships of all kinds, it is important to remember that Saturn requires hard work to achieve success.  No pain, no gain. Relationships that have been unsuitable will probably end during this time, and strong relationships, will grow stronger. Saturn will test the limit, and weed out those individuals in our lives who no longer fulfill a purpose, and demand that we focus on relationships with a mature attitude.

Establishing new partnerships and strengthening existing bonds -- romantic, business and other alliances -- will be front and center. This will be a welcome change to those who've grown weary of solitude and self reliance. the challenge will lie in balancing your needs with those of your partner's, both personal and professional, in ways that create win-win relationships for all.
