Retrograde Mercury never fails to amaze me with the unexpected twists and turns that it often takes. As the debate over The Great Bail Out continues, Mercury in Libra, the ruler of courts and the law, went retrograde today, and we have now been told by the Media that 4 of the financial institutions  the Government is proposing a Bail Out for are being investigated by the FBI: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Lehman Brothers, AIG Insurance, and others. As Libra rules justice, these actions are right  on time.
This is typical of the way that a retrograde will often reveal facts that we are not aware of when it goes retrograde. If you read yesterday's blog, you understand that we are under the influence of a Mars-Mercury conjunct in Libra representing hasty impassioned speech and decision making.  A wider rift is growing between Congress and the Fed Chairman and the Treasury Secretary as to how quickly the 700 Billion dollar bailout can occur, versus what type of controls and regulations the bailout will have, such as the fact that CEO's of defunct companies should not command multi-million dollar 'golden' parachute packages upon departure.
The above was what was being reported this morning after Keen Speaker Jo Starks pointed out to me that Mercury went retrograde today on a void-of-course moon, something not generally considered to be a positive time to begin new ventures and purchase new products or services. I was considering the effects of this when it was announced that Republican Presidential hopeful john McCain was 'suspending' his campaign until there is resolution of the financial crisis. I believe that decision will cost him the election, and the results will become clear over the next 2 weeks as Saturn squares his Jupiter and conjuncts his Neptune.  The Saturn-Jupiter square is what cost Hillary Clinton the lead as the Democratic Nominee earlier this spring, and the same aspect is occurring in McCain's chart September 29-October 14. This transit also represents a money crisis in McCain's chart. We are approaching the Uranus-Saturn opposition, indicative of total and complete change, and changes made at this time will have ramifications for many years. Decisions should not be made without the most through debate and consideration of consequences
