There are several major astrological events that will occur on election day, November 4, 2008 in the US.  The first one is the Saturn/Uranus opposition that has been building for some time now. Saturn and Uranus oppose each other at 18 degrees, becoming exact on November 3rd. Saturn represents the old established order, and Uranus represents the need/desire for complete change.  When the 2 planets come together in an opposition like this, the change is not always easy, nor does it  happen in a smooth manner. This transit by nature confers revolution, agitation, disruption and shortages, riots and unrest.  Events that can occur include natural disasters, change in governments, war, and the downfall of some governments and systems worldwide. It is a economic and social roller coaster ride, as evidenced by the last Saturn-Uranus oppositions that occurred between January of 1962-67. Much social/political/economic change and revolution occurred during this time and the US lost a President to an assassin during these years. We can look to these times past, to get a glimpse into the future.

Yesterday, the FBI thwarted a plan among a white supremist group to assassinate Senator Obama, and a large number of black Americans.  It is despicable that such attempts would occur in the year 2008, but any student of history  understands that in desperate times of upheaval and change, desperate people emerge and attempt desperate things.
As I predicted in a newsletter posted on May 13, 2008. Senator Obama faces grave danger of accidents or assignation attempts due to the transits in his chart.  These transits continue for some time into the future. Senator Obama is by no means doomed, but he does face danger.
 
The second transit of significance on election day is Mars squaring Neptune. The general definition of this transit is  heightened sensitivity and emotions, lies and deception and confusion. It has been a bitter fight between rivals, with Republican John McCain making statements about Senator Obama that have been proven to be false numerous times by the news organizations that investigate such statements .Republicans and Democrats are at odds over their candidates, and are firmly entrenched in their own ideas on both sides of the isle. Expect confusion, and-or a certain amount of deception with ideology/religious/political beliefs reaching a fevered pitch.  Lawsuits have already emerged concerning voter fraud, and there will be more, as well as confusing reports about what is actually happening.The US has a history of political leaders who inflame the passions of the people, both for better and worse, as the US Natal chart has a Neptune-Mars square. The final aspect(s) effecting this election are Mercury entering Scorpio, the natural ruler of the 8th house of transformation and change on November 4th, as well as the New Moon at 5 degrees of Scorpio today, compelling voters to vote in the candidate they believe will bring this change about. The 8th house also rulers other people's money, debt, secrets, and death. Americans will vote their pocketbook!  It is no surprise the FBI uncovered the Obama assassination attempt on this New Moon, and there will likely be others in the future.
 
The end result is these transits will bring about total and complete change and revolution in government, the World and our society. 
 
Senator Obama will win the election, and the Democrats will control Congress
