Welcome to the Revolution!
"Welcome to the Revolution." If you are a child of the sixties or thereabouts you will remember this phrase. If you are not a child of the sixties, the phrase/saying relates to the great social change that swept the Country and the world during the sixties, that began on the college campuses, and spread across the nation and the world. Well, Welcome to the Revolution!
Uranus and Saturn are approaching in a opposition that becomes exact on November 3, 2008, 1 day before the Presidential election. Uranus opposing Saturn represents total and complete change in all things: a complete overthrow of the existing way of doing things. It also has to do with money shortages. This will be a turning point in the collective history of the US and it's people. We usually start feeling the effects of Uranus and Saturn within a 8-10 degree orb. Today, Uranus is at 20 degrees in Pisces and Saturn is at 14 degrees in Virgo, well within the orb where the effects should be (and are clearly) showing. Yesterday we saw the largest bank failure in the history of the US: Washington Mutual was seized by the FDIC, before being sold to JP Morgan. My understanding of the situation is that it should not cost the taxpayers money, and business is operating as usual.
We last saw a Uranus-Saturn pattern from 1962-66. For those of you who were not old enough to remember that period it was the era of the 'hippies,' and the beginning of many changes that effected society--the sixties is when the 'individual' became more important than the collective. If you remember this time, or are a student of history, you will understand that it was one of the greatest periods of 'change' in the 20th century, and ushered in a new era. It was a bumpy ride filled with protests and conflicts, but much good came of the period as well. If you remember the movie 'Back to the Future," you recall the Professor left his life in the 80's to return to the 60's, and life as it existed then! In an upcoming blog I will look at previous Saturn-Uranus transits and the effects/events they created.
On another subject, as debate appears to break down in Congress over the Bail-Out, all hope is not lost. If you read my previous blog, I stated that with Mercury retrograde in a stationary position, decision making becomes almost impossible, and that is what we are seeing today. The stationary period ends Tuesday as Mercury progresses in it's apparent backward motion.
More soon, I will keep you updated, as it is all written in the stars and has been since the beginning of time!
