~ Dr Oz & his personal Past Life Regression on Oprah ~
OK....I studied this over 18 years ago....back when it was thought to be "loopy", experienced by those who were dillusional, and/or it was created by the mind as a fanatsy escape method.
Well, now in 2008...OPRAH and Dr OZ are covering this topic on mainstream media!
Oprah has Dr Brian Weiss on to discuss, explore and even regress the infamous Dr Oz!
If you have ever wondered about past life regression or even considered being regressed...this show is for you!

I do past life regressions with clients and just like Dr Brian Weiss & Dr Oz suggest, there is usually no proof of the regression and it's details....however there is proof in the healing ability of the regression.
Watch the show, read all about it on Oprah.com and see what conclusions you come to yourself.
There is no need to believe in regression or even past lives to find this subject & show very interesting!
As is stated by Dr Weiss, there is often no proof of the existence of these past lives, only proof of how after the regression the person's current life begins to heal. There have been documented cases with regression clients past life recollections being written down and researched for verification. This is obviously easier to do with the more current life times ie 1800's & up as records are accessible to us.

Which ever side of the fence you stand on this subject....go ahead and watch the show....you should really come away more enlightened on the subject!

Hey, Doc - good post. I once had a past life regression and it was (without a doubt) one of the most profound experiences I've ever had, compounded with a true healing aspect to it. A client recommended a book to me which is, in itself, nothing shy of amazing. "Destiny of Souls" by Michael Newton. It's one step beyond what Brian Weiss has.

Dear AZAngel,

Thanks for your input & recommendation for further reading on this subject.
My past life regressions were in the 1980's and they were recorded and used in an authors book about regressions.
I can not say enough about the power of regression in both my personal experiences as well as my clients.

I am following this..there is a certain 'energy' re Dr. Oz.  He has a very wonderful aura and energy..I don't believe her would lie or act...He's like an 'open book'..

If he says it:  I believe it..

Being a hypnotist I have participated in past life regressions with my clients for many years although I no longer do it professionally.  We have known how great this process is for many years but it has taken brave souls like Brian Weiss, Micheal Newton (I agree with you about his books they are wonderful) and a few others to bring this type of therapy to the forefront.  I personally had a client that was able to recall over 80 past life experiences also.  She was an amazing women and was able to recall by year, location, even addresses and names of her lives while under hypnosis.  It was a very rewarding experience for me to participate in. I totally advocate this type of therapy for many people are able to resolve their phobias in their current incarnation.  I believe we all can recall our past lives when we are ready through self hypnosis also.  Thank you for alerting us to this event on Oprahs site.  I am a fan of Dr. Weiss..
