~ HARVEST FULL MOON... What Does It Mean For You?? ~
The Harvest Full Moon got it's name because it rises earlier then most moons and it aided farmers by shedding light upon their fields after the sun had set. These additonal hours of light allowed farmers to harvest their crops at the end of the growing season.
NASA explains that the Harvest Moon only appears larger then other full moons. The reason it appears larger is the distance from Earth to the Moon. The Moon obviously is the same size every night, yet this Harvest Full Moon appears to us on Earth as being much larger then usual. Perception is key.
Since many of us are not farmers harvesting our crops this evening, we wonder what does this Harvest Full Moon bring into my life?What does it mean to me & my life ???
This Harvest Full Moon will shine light upon you & your life. What have you grown in your personal garden since spring? Tonight and tomorrow night are great times for reflecting back upon your personal growth since spring. Where have you seen measurable growth in your physical & spiritual realms?
Each of us has grown like the crops being harvested. Each of us has weeded out people & things that were no longer healthy for our garden/our life.
Take time to relfect on how far you have grown and in what areas too. Far too often we only look at what we do not yet have or all that we have yet to do. This perspective is tiring and often stops us in our tracks. Sure it is wise to plan for your future, but if all you see when you look at your life is what you have yet to acheive, you are missing the the opportunity to strengthen yourself. When you take the time to acknowledge and affirm each and every growth you have had, you have the opportunity to strengthen yourself.
The crops that are harvested are to feed the community during the long winter months. The energy of your accomplishments & growth will do the same for your life, physically, mentally & spiritually :)
As you gaze upon the night sky this evening remember the Harvest Moon is here to shed light upon each & everyone of us. It's light is here to shine on every bit of growth that took place this year. From the corn stalks to the addiction you left behind, to the exercise class you have only missed twice since you joined. Each of us has grown and we each need to remember the importance of this opportunity to look back and recognize all the gardening and weeding we actually did to produce such growth in our beautiful personal garden.
