~ Happy Mother's Day ~
I want to wish all mothers a very Happy Mother's Day~
I hope you enjoy your day of honor.
I am spending the day with my husband & children. I have been hounded by my children for the past few weeks about what I wanted for Mother's Day . I knew they were thinking perfume, candles or chocolate. I responded for several days with "I really don't know." Well, this week they were not accepting that answer anymore. I had to come up with something....
So, I asked for all chores to be done...dishes, laundry, sweeping & mopping etc before Mother's Day so that we could all just hangout & relax spending the day together. I want everyone to have the entire day off, with nothing but family time scheduled. Nothing planned for the entire day...doing what we want when we want, all 5 of us!
Seems that time slips by so quickly, as I can recall how Mother's Day was always sad because my mom had passed on when I was a child. That day was usually solemn in our house.
Seems that only yesterday I was pregnant with my oldest child(15 years ago) and I received a flower on Mother's Day at church.
That was the first Mother's Day that I had celebrated since 1979. That day will always be in my heart. That day was a defining moments in my life.
The joy and love I felt being called a mother filled my heart & soul like nothing ever had.
Today, I am reminded of just how precious time is.
So, today I will spend the entire day laughing & playing, just being a mom :)
Happy Mother's Day~
Light & Love,
Dr Daragh
ps... ALL OF THE CHORES ARE DONE :)
Your Love Is Like the Arizona Sun
Your love is like the Arizona sun:
Always there, no matter what I do.
Bathed in light, I feel my love for you,
But words are gone before I have begun.
I don't know why I find it hard to say
The things that rest so deeply in my heart.
It seems almost impossible to start,
As though they're too ungainly to display.
I cherish you and what you feel for me.
I'm lucky that I have you for a mom.
I love you with a love that's sweet and calm,
And vast, like some unending inner sea.
You're the one I'm with when I'm alone;
You're the place within my heart that's home
My Mother, My Friend
You are my mother and my friend,
Which is unusual.
Somehow our characters must blend:
Your wisdom and my will.
I turn, and you are there for me;
I speak, you understand.
I feel cared for, but also free;
You lead but don't command.
I'm fortunate that I was born
To someone just like you;
I love you, not just as my mom,
But for what you are and do.
How
God created mother
God took the fragrance
of a flower,
The majesty of a tree,
The gentleness of morning dew,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The beauty of a twilight hour,
The soul of a starry night
The laughter of the rippling brook,
The grace of a bird in flight,
Then God fashioned from these things
A creation like no other,
And when His masterpiece was through,
He called it simply...MOTHER.
