Ah what a magical combination, to hurry up and lose weight. Isn't that what every fat person in the world wants?  I've been on every diet. I've owned practically every kind of workout equipment. I taeboed six days a week for three years. All of it was somewhere between discomfort and torture... like a mild torture. And worst of all, none of it really increased the speed at which the weight came off.

I've found the way to hurry up and lose weight and yes, I'd read about it before, but somehow it never sank in.  The best way to hurry up and lose weight is to... (wait, imagine I've grabbed your arms firmly, and I'm looking you square in the eyes to make sure you hear this)....

Yes, that's right. The best way to hurry up and lose weight is to get brisk. No, seriously. Get a heart rate monitor/watch and when you lad the dishwasher, shop, do laundry, wash the car, walk the dogs, beat the kids - whatever, do it at an aerobic pace. You'll get a lot more done, in a lot less time, and you'll burn a lot more calories in the process.

Everything we do burns calories. Typically, each calorie we burn is 50% fat.  When we speed up, not a lot, just a bit, then each calorie we burn is made up of 85% fat.  

I have lost 50 pounds of excess fat in the last seven months.  I've lost that much weight and even more in the past, but not healthy and not a lifestyle I wanted to continue after reaching a healthy weight. This time I'm not on a diet, I've found my perfect path (never hungry, never over taxed physically, delicious food). For anyone who'd like to try it on.....

  • YOU on a diet (no high fructose corn syrup, strictly nutritional food, very little processed foods, balanced, healthy protein, fats and carbs) Yeah, I know, they call it a diet... can't be though. Feels like anything in the world but a diet.
  • The Daily Plate  - makes keeping a free online food journal EASY
  • heart rate monitor  - $34.59 as I write this (yes, it's bulky, but not as bulky or ugly as a stomach that stuck out farther than my breasts)
  • mp3 player and rock out music
  • (optional) seven speed beach cruiser bicycle

If you're too big to handle walking or bike riding, (been there, done that) get a glider rocker, watch your favorite shows, express  your excitement, fear, anger, laughter, all responses to the shows with rocking till you can start working out. Yes Virginia, it is possible to rock aerobically.

But whether you follow this program to the letter or not, after a life time of trying on diets, workouts, and workout equipment, I can testify to you with certainty, when I say, "the best way to hurry up and lose weight is to eat right and HURRY UP. If you're moving anyways, why not speed up enough to get the most fat burn?  Don't think run, instead think brisk walk.... there you go.  Play your favorite hits on your mp3 and move at the speed of joy...... it's sweeeeeeeeeeeet. :)

She was able to provide me with intimate details on the near and somewhat far future that perfectly aligns with my intuition. And as always the added "extra" help on matters I did not ask about - but very relevant. You are the best!

She even gave me some future details and how I best can handle them with success!! I will relax and see how things will play out. She was so right on with everything!!! Nicely done post!!
I, myself, have done probably 3/4's of the diets known to man, and checked out the other 1/4 that were just to wacky to contemplate!

I FINALLY ended up losing 93 lbs in 8 months by doing the "Six Week Body Make-Over" (6WBMO for short).  
I lost 32 lbs in the first month alone...with no exercise (I was just to large and to busy and to depressed and just "TOO"-to even bother, lol).
But the program makes you take a test, then tells you to choose from a list of meats/fruits/veggies/carbs what you want to eat for each meal.  You HAVE to eat 5 meals a day and there's a 6th one if you feel like it. I loved that program...I got to eat potatoes/bread/rice....which a LOT of programs make you get rid of.
The premise for the plan is to eat every 2 or 3 hours and eat healthy, but don't deprive yourself of "normal" foods.

But when I lost the 32 lbs, I joined a gym, where I started on what's called an "elliptical" machine.  That's like a moon-glider in that people who have bad knees/joints can still walk/run without feeling the pressure on your knees/ankles.  It's also for people who get shin-splints (like MOI!).  And then the other weight just kinda "fell" off of me.....it was the coolest thing to watch!!!

I still can't believe the pictures of me from then/now.  NOW, I have joined a body-sculpting program that has made me even SMALLER...but without the weight loss.  

For someone who had never shopped in the "normal girls" stores or section...I feel ya, sister!!! Losing that weight is a feeling better than one would imagine sex with Sylvester Stallone would be!

I wanted to tell you I totally agree! I've lost 10 lbs in the past two weeks, and all I've done was walked more, moved more, and made more conscious choices about my food! I've been doing MORE, and weighing less. Keep up these blogs, whether they make me laugh or think, I always enjoy them.
