Lose the Memory, Lose the Heart Ache
Here's an article in "Psychology Today." It's called, "Lose the Memory, Lose the Weight" which backs up to a great extent what I said years ago, in my article on "How to Let Go."
You own your own brain. It believes the pictures you create. If you create different pictures/memories, it changes the way you feel in the here and now. Until I read the article in Psychology today, I never thought about the fact that it works for food just like it does for love. Well, DUH.
Wish you didn't love the bacon that's clogging your arteries and killing you one slice at a time? Watch this video about the brain worm, it's real, and it's really more common all the time. In fact, if you only decided to quit wanting to eat out so often, again, that brain worm video.... that's a keeper! Every time I look at bacon in the grocery store, my mind sees ME under the knife. Same thing goes for restaurants and fast food places. That video has saved me thousands of unhealthy excess calories.
By the same token, burning a heartache relief playlist and listening to it daily, created a picture of breaking up that made a dramatic reduction in how much I suffered, as well as a dramatic increase in how much I enjoyed the break up. And what the hell, if one must break up, then by all means, isn't it only logical to do so in the very least painful, very most enjoyable way?
Now it's time for your challenges.... because we retain 20% of valuable information when we only read it, but we retain 80% when we apply it immediately. You're not the kind of person to waste valuable, free information. So here are your challenges, you're welcome to record your answers in the comments section.
