Please note: I don’t dislike skeptics for being skeptical. I’m one of the biggest skeptics that ever lived. What I dislike is when skeptics are rude about it.
I met Mitch when I was twenty two years old and had just taught myself how to read the cards. Mitchell was clearly having psychic dreams so I encouraged him to take my system and learn how to read cards. I did this for the entirely selfish reason of wanting to have someone to read for me when I was too emotional to read for myself.
He took my system, changed it inside out and backwards and I have to tell you that I am sooooooo glad I talked him into learning how to read the cards. And this reading is one of the reasons.
She was the younger sister of a friend of a friend. Mom wanted me to read for her but I can’t read well for skeptics. Their disbelief is a distraction and knocks my focus right off track. So I took her to Mitchell, cause Mitchell always reads even better with skeptics.
She was laughing in our faces, telling us she knew we weren’t either one really psychics, but go ahead and try. Mitch read her past first. He looked at it and said, “are you sure you don’t mind Lollie hearing this?” She assured him with a cocky confidence there was nothing he was going to say that was going to impress her, let alone bother her. Mitchell is passive aggressive and so I saw it coming. He was about to slap the p--- right outta her with the truth.
He said, “Well okay, it says here one of your brothers molested you when you were a child…. “ at which point she gasped, her eyes got big as saucers and watered up, as goosebumps covered her bare arms. She looked at me with shock. “I never told anyone!” she practically shrieked and before she could say another word, Mitch broke in and said, “that’s right and the reason you didn’t was because you knew your oldest brother would kill him if you told.” Which freaked her out even more.Because, yes, in fact that was true too.
Since Mitch had shown her how wrong she was to doubt him, I kicked back musing about something else, not really paying attention when I heard her laughing that snide, insulting laugh again. Mitch had just told her she would have two children. She said, “Oh really!” just laughing her head off. "Well I know you’re not psychic now, because two different doctors have both told me I will never be able to get pregnant." Mitch said well maybe he was wrong. It’s just what the cards said.
That was a long time ago. Her two children that she gave birth to are in High school now. So the moral of this reading is, just because a reading disagrees with what you believe to be facts, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s wrong. That’s why I suggest you take notes with any psychic you call, and I insist you take notes with me.
Reality doesn’t always make sense. It doesn’t always fit with what we’re expecting. Besides, we tend to let what we want the truth to be and what we’re afraid it is to color our memories of readings we receive, so just to keep the facts straight, always, always take notes when you call. By the way, that hateful young woman is no longer young, but she's still rude. What a shame that some things never change.
One note here: Even if he had been wrong about her children, (and remember, he wasn't wrong) did she really think he was such a good guesser that he could guess that one of her brothers molested her and guess the reason she never told was because her oldest brother would have killed him??? He didn't even know she had brothers. She must put a HUGE amount of faith in people's 'guessing' abilities.
