Tony Robbins found out in his research that normal people ask normal questions. They ask questions like "why me?" "how could this have happened?" and "WTF?"
And he found out that the most successfull people (in every endeavor) ask primarily questions that lead to (go figure) success.
So if your goal is to be happily married.... rather than just ask "will he marry me?" First ask, "how happy will it make us if we marry?" I am never surprised no one asks who's going to win the presidential election or the super bowl. But I am always surprised when people are so certain they've found their best life mate choice that they don't even ask, "how happy will it make us if we marry?"
