Wondering How to Feel Absofreakinglutely Invincible Today?
I don't want to mislead anyone. Working out daily is like it's own bell curve on the happier end of the happiness and joy bell curve. Today I woke up with another headache, but this one felt more like a big watermelon that had gotten too ripe and kicked around too much. My head felt like the heaviest part of my body. So I take two extra strength tylynol and go to the gym. It's harder than normal and not as much fun as normal. I'm sweating like a hooker in church. I take a full hour to burn 400 calories.
Of course I feel the mild temptation to call it a day. But my new programming is so strong, it didn't have a chance.
Give it your best shot everyday.

I've spent my life cheating (chow eating) and the only one I cheated was - ME. I'm done with that. For over two months I've been reading that quote and quotes like it with so much passion you'd think I wrote every one of them myself. Why? Because repetition is power. Why? Because I no longer watch tv commercials without flocking them and I watch MY commercials all day long. Why? Because I tell my brain what to think and feel the same way the food manufacturers do everyone else. The reason you feel cheated if you don't have at least one over sugared, over salted, over fattening 'treat' a week or a day? Because that's what they tell you repeatedly in their commercials. While the rest of the world allows food manufacturers do all their brain programming for them, I took it back. I own the script. And I only write into the script things that lead me day by day, minute by minute closer to optimal health.
So of course I restart the treadmill, and stay on it till done - then five more minutes just to make fun of that tiny part of me that even considered slacking off. Then to vote, to walmart to buy fresh fuel including pure rice vinegar and home. Once home I fed the dogs, cleaned the house and sat down to work. I noticed my headache was gone. I tried to remember when it left and couldn't pin it down.
So what's great about work out days that aren't the greatest? What's great is how I feel right now. And how do I feel right now?
