The planet Uranus turned retrograde on Thursday, June 26th at 8:01 p.m. EST at 22 degrees Pisces 39' and will stay that way until November 27th of this year.

I am very sensitive to planetary shifts and usually find a correlation between significant astrological transits and personal "milestones" in my own life.  These have run the gamut from relationship endings, chance encounters, illnesses, injuries, to sudden financial windfalls, exciting career opportunities, or a relocation to a new city. Sometimes these sudden shifts erupt on a subconscious level and I awake the next day with a powerfully prophetic dream or an idea for a new screenplay. Small or large, whenever there's a transit, there's always a shift.

Uranus is the planet of freedom, higher enlightenment and eccentricity.  Uranus rules the sign of Aquarius and if you're an Aquarian you know the last thing you want is to be caged in!  An Aquarian is gonna do it their way and if you can't understand their brilliant new plan, don't even try to keep up with them, they're light years ahead of us anyway (not to mention the fact that they think, talk & text at the speed of light). 

I credit my Aquarian friends & loved ones with keeping me on the cutting edge of the latest social & technological developments--Guitar Hero, iphone, global tsunamis, dippin' dots--for without them, I'd still be typing on my Smith Corona.  They also invite me to great parties.  At the center of any happenin' scene is a true Aquarian.

So what does this Uranus retrograde motion hold in store for us in the coming months?????

Uranus is an outer planet so it's planetary station effects change on a larger scale rather than our daily lives--(unless it's making some direct aspects to our inner planets).

When a planet turns retrograde it is moving in reverse motion back over it's last progression.  In this case, Uranus is at 22 degrees Pisces reversing until it reaches 17 degrees Pisces on November 27th 2008.

As a result, this retrograde transit has the effect of returning us to the issues, people, and places we visited from June 26th back to February 9th 2008 when Uranus last hit 17 degrees Pisces.  Think back to what was going on in your life then.

This transit will force us to look at any area of our lives that are outdated, constrictive and wasteful.  There could be sudden breaks in communication, social circles and relationships.  We may leave a job, residence or a restrictive way of thinking.

It's a good time to review the choices we've made regarding our own sense of personal freedom.  Is the noose tightening in on you somewhere?  What do you need to cut loose?

Lovers & other strangers can make a sudden emergence at this time and rock your world!  They often feel like the answer to your prayers, but you might want to wait until Uranus turns direct again in November before you sign on the dotted line.  Relationship entrances and exits have a way of "bookending" many retrograde transits.
