…..for an uncharacteristically long stay.  Mercury will reside in the Sign of Cancer beginning tonight, May 28th, at 8:56pm EST through August 5th.  Mercury’s orbit of Cancer is so long due to the Retrograde Mercury will be in from June 15th through July 9th.  More later on that.

People will be a bit more understanding and sympathetic during this transit.  But it could become more difficult for some to stand up for themselves.  There will not be as much force behind everyone’s speech as there has been for the last 3 1/2 months.  Although, that may be a welcomed relief.  

Mercury in Cancer suggests that our thoughts will be a bit more affected by emotional and subconscious patterns.  Some may find that they are not as quick and alert, and although sociable, can bring on some introversion.  Intuitive or imaginative capacities are likely to be highlighted as well.

We all now have the opportunity to resolve some difficulties through turning our thoughts more inward.  The only downside is the possibility of more gloomy or depressed thoughts at this time and the potential of feeling some fear about the future.  As long as we monitor this pitfall, this should be a quiet, thoughtful and creative time for many.
