Although I am an empath and a psychic, I love to study astrology.  As a result I will blog about some of the more interesting things going on in the sky that has an effect on us all.

Although Pluto has been “demoted”, many astrologers are in strong disagreement due to the amazingly intense energy and impact of Pluto.  Therefore, most astrologers still consider Pluto, and it’s transits, a strong force in analyzing anyone’s charts.  I happen to be in agreement, Pluto is NOT to be ignored.

Pluto is the most outer planet and is the planet of transformation, creation and destruction.  It is currently in the sign of Sagittarius and will be for the rest of 2007.  Pluto entered Sagittarius in 1996.  It leaves Sagittarius on January 26, 2008, but then retrogrades back into Sagittarius from June 14, 2008 – Nov. 27, 2008.  At that time it re-enters Capricorn for a LONG time.

Pluto effects us all but the signs that have been most impacted by it since 1996 are:
Sagittarius, which Pluto is conjuncting;
Virgo & Pisces, which Pluto is squaring;
and Gemini, which Pluto is opposing.

Anyone with a Sun, Ascendant or other strong placements in Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces or Gemini in their natal charts have gone through some sort of transformation since 1996 and will continue to through late 2008.

When it starts aspecting any of the planets in your natal chart (again particularly placements in the aforementioned signs), it typically begins by breaking down (destroying) some sort of structure, then it creates new ones in its place.  This cycle of death, destruction and recreation is not subtle, for Pluto’s energies are tremendous, albeit very slow.

PLUTO IS ABOUT SLOW, BUT MAJOR CHANGE!

Pluto typically will destroy anything that is wrong and can no longer be “patched up”.  It also will typically bring on power struggles in one’s life.  So please do not grieve someone or something that Pluto has taken out of your life, as the very thing that was removed is something that could not be repaired.  I realize this is easier said than done.

Of course, when each individual is feeling the effects of Pluto, is when it is strongly aspecting an area in your chart.  No one will have to feel it at its strongest intensity for the entire 12 years it is in a particular sign!!!  The effect of any single Pluto transit will generally last two - five years, weaving in and out in intensity.  You need only look at strong change that has occurred in your life since 1996 to get an idea if Pluto was aspecting your Natal chart or not.  Of course, speaking with an astrologer about your personal chart is always the way to go.

Pluto also rules anything having to do with the secretive or subversive elements of society, or one’s life.  Unfortunately, it can, as a result, bring into one’s life during its transit of your chart, crime, cults or gangs, or even danger.  This is not its most common effect, but it happens.

Pluto Retrogrades in Sagittarius today, Sat. March 31st at 6:45pm EDT and remains retrograde until September 7th.

It is during a Pluto Retrograde that a lot of stuff can get buried.  But secrets can come to light during this as well.  It’s as if people are so busy burying new secrets that the old secrets surface.  But this is a good time to get in touch with one’s inner self or subconscious via meditation, therapy or psychic readings.  On the other hand, its retrograde motion may weaken the effect of anything it is changing in your life at the moment, thus giving you a break from its transformative energies.

I, personally, do not know a single Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces or Gemini whom has not gone through significant change in the last decade, usually frequented by a lot of tears.

I happen to be a Virgo Sun, with 5 other planets in Virgo and one in Pisces.  Therefore, I have had to deal with SEVEN Pluto transits over the course of the last decade.  In other words, I know whereof I speak.   The Pluto induced changes in my life have been intense and include:  divorce; 3 job changes; 3 moves in residence; 3 deaths in my immediate family and circle of friends; the loss of a child;  stalkings; the victim of crime, some violence and thievery; harassment by a cult/gang; and the birth of my son, among many other things.  Just to give you an idea.  In other words, it’s been one hell of a ride since Pluto came to town.

BUT all of that said, even though typically difficult, Pluto transits serve to get you where you’re supposed to be, make you stronger, and make you much wiser.

So have faith that you will come out of any Pluto induced difficulty better off as a result of it.  And do not be fooled by its “demotion”, which I find laughable.  Our having changed its “label” has NOT changed its power.
