SPAM comments & Advisor Availability on Blogs!
I’m on one of my rare, but powerful, rants this morning regarding the Keen blogs. I do wonder if anyone else is noticing this and/or as aggravated as I am with it.
FIRST, I spent this morning deleting 184 SPAM comments from my various blog entries. They included either:
A: urls advertising online medication; penis enlargement; educational facilities; computer software
AND
B: repetitive one word comments like: nice; cool; interesting…..that were posted over and over and over again.
It is becoming impossible to read the legitimate comments for the SPAMing that is going on.
SECOND, daily I’m losing more and more interest in the blogs because of having to sift through the constant “advisor availability” posts. Who Cares! If someone is looking for an advisor’s availability they would go to the “Get Advice” section of Keen, NOT the “Blog”.
Can you imagine if every Advisor on Keen were so inconsiderate to post their availability daily? There would be nothing but that on the blog, thus defeating the very purpose of them.
There are so many amazing Advisors in the Keen community with so many interesting things to say. I truly love browsing the blogs to read their entries. But unfortunately, there are those others that insist on mucking up the blogs with availability posts.
I assume that they do this because they believe that maybe someone will call them that would not have. But here’s an interesting idea, why don’t you post something interesting instead when you log on??? Don’t these Advisors think that would be more effective? Or how about simply using the blog for its intended purpose and NOT for your advertising purposes??? There are other tools geared specifically for that here on Keen.
I was very excited when Keen introduced the blogs and thought it was a phenomenal idea. But of course, there are always those that must abuse every system. It’s such a shame.
If you, too are annoyed by these two items, please do as I have and email Keen Customer Support.
