Today is the first day of Spring, The Spring Equinox, due to the Sun's move into Aries this morning, March 20th at 1:49am EDT.  Aries is the FIRST sign of the zodiac, thus Astrologically, it's the New Year!  Unlike our use of the Roman calendar of Jan. 1st, which is seemingly an arbitrary date.

Aries energy is vigorous, vital, energetic and has a great love of living, so this change in the Sun should give everyone these feelings.  It's a time to make plans and new beginnings.  A stronger enthusiasm for life should be felt by one and all.  Arians seize opportunities, and now with this energy, so should everyone.  Valuing freedom and independence will also be felt more strongly now.

That said, I would hold off on new beginnings until after this Full Moon coming up tomorrow.  More on that in a bit.....

Enjoy the energy!  Happy Spring!  Happy New Year!

Below is a listing of the current planetary line up and the signs each planet is in.

The Moon is not listed below, as it changes signs roughly every 48 hours.  Currently, the Moon is in Virgo.  At 3:28pm EDT today, the moon will go "void of course" (which means it will be between signs for a period.  It will stay "void of course" until tomorrow, Friday, March 21st, at 11:45am EDT, at which time it enters the sign of Libra.

It is important to respect that when the moon is "void of course", all of us get a little more sluggish and have less clarity.  It's also important to avoid big purchases and decisions during "void of course" moons.  Void of course periods vary in length, some are as short as a couple of minutes and some are as long as nearly 24 hours.

Here's the rest of the line up:
