The Wild Energetic Ride We're On
August and early September have been quite interesting for many and that is what the planetary action has been calling for. And there’s more to come….. In fact, it’s been so action packed I’ve gotten way behind on my newletters and blogging about it. I’ll attempt to explain what’s been happening and what is going to be happening. Obviously this will vary by person and based on how these planetary aspects hit the individual chart, but this should give you a rough guideline.
In order to move forward, I must look at late August a little bit.
On Aug. 23rd, the Sun moved into Virgo and will remain there through Sept. 22nd. This marks the last month of Summer for us and whenever the Sun is in Virgo it switches everyone’s focus to issues of work and health. There is also a heightened attention to detail with this placement.
On Aug. 28th we had a Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse in the Sign of Pisces that really shook things up and was a particularly emotional eclipse. This was a part of a 2 1/2 year cycle of Eclipses that has been going on since March 2006 in the signs of Virgo and Pisces. These eclipses are meaningful for everyone but in very different ways. For you to determine what they are about in your life, you should examine what the common theme(s) has been around the dates of each eclipse. They are as follows:
March 14, 2006 – Virgo – Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse
September 7, 2006 – Pisces - Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse
September 22, 2006 – Virgo – New Moon / Solar Eclipse
March 3, 2007 – Virgo – Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse
March 18, 2007 – Pisces – New Moon / Solar Eclipse
August 28, 2007 – Pisces – Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse
So think back over the dates, plus or minus 5 days in either direction, and think about what the common themes were. The purpose of eclipses is to root out a problematic situation or person in one’s life and solve it or get rid of it. OR bring someone or something into one’s life that is supposed to be there. The purpose is correction. There tends to be a certain amount of emotionalism associated with eclipse energy as well, so most will not have to think too hard about the events around these dates. And it may not be every single one of these dates either, especially ones extremely close together. Or you may find, like me, you’re dealing with one theme during the Pisces eclipses and a totally different theme during the Virgo eclipses.
Stay tuned, we’ve got two more eclipses coming in this series, one in September. Once the final one has occurred, Feb. 21, 2008, whatever you are confronting should be resolved and the situation you’ve been wrestling with since March of 2006 will stabilize, probably for good.
Another MAJOR event occurred on September 2nd, when Saturn left Leo and moved into Virgo, where it will stay until October 29, 2009. Saturn is known as the “task master” planet and makes it’s journey around the zodiac every 28 years. It is now in Virgo for the next 2 years and 2 months. Saturn rules our Nation’s housing market and Virgo is known as the Sign of realism. Many astrologers predict that it is now, during Saturn’s tour of Virgo, that the housing market will level to what it “really” should be, good, bad or indifferent. It was during Saturn’s tour of Leo that many Astrologers feel the housing market began to correct and they believe that Saturn in Virgo will finish the job. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, that may mean.
On Sept. 5th, Mercury entered Libra and will remain there through Sept. 28th. Most will be seeking more compromise. There will be more communication of all sorts. Everyone should be looking more for solutions to difficulties with others through cooperation rather than ego gratification.
Yesterday, Sept. 7th, Pluto finally went direct after having been in retrograde motion for many months. Issues involving joint resources (other people’s money) will come to the forefront and start to right themselves. In fact, all jointly held financial situations that have been moving slowly or stagnant should begin to rectify now.
Today, Sept. 8th, Venus went direct after having been retrograde for almost 6 weeks. It was during the last 6 weeks that she was giving us all the opportunity to reflect and figure out how we really feel and to go back over matters of love one more time and make decisions and corrections, if we needed to. (That’s always the point of any planet in retrograde, our focus being whatever that planet symbolizes.)
Venus is in the sign of Leo and will remain there through Oct. 8th when it re-enters Virgo again. As I mentioned weeks ago, this is another phase in Venus retracing her path (bouncing back & forth between Leo & Virgo) trying to make up her mind in issues of love and money. She knows what she is doing, of course, but she is asking us to figure these things out for ourselves. If it has seemed that there has been much confusion in these areas, then that is as it should be. We have been asked to look at love again and determine if this is what we want and if we are truly happy. Venus doesn’t bother to retrograde very frequently, only once every three years (if that), as a matter of fact. When she does, she wants us to take heed. But as of today, we are past that!!!!!!!!!!!
However, Venus is still not caught up to where she was when she first went retrograde. Venus was at 2 degrees in Virgo when she retrograded. We are currently at 16 degrees in Leo. So we will not totally be past this period of “wait and see” in love until we are past 2 degrees in Virgo again. That critical date is October 12th. Once we are past the 12th of October, we are most definitely in forward motion in matters of love and money.
On September 11th we have the next to the last Eclipse in the aforementioned Pisces/Virgo series of Eclipses. This one is a New Moon / Solar Eclipse in Virgo at 18 degrees and will be exact at 8:44am EST. Although New Moons are typically more gentle than Full Moons, this one may not be, as it opposes Uranus in Pisces. So we may expect some erratic events on, or around, this date.
All that I mentioned above, regarding the August 28th Eclipse is applicable here. However, there are indications that this eclipse may well be more information gathering and conclusion oriented to the events around Aug. 28th, than emotional. There is little doubt that the events surrounding Sept. 11th will relate somehow to the events surrounding Aug. 28th. This will vary by individual. Additionally, for some, because it’s in Virgo, there could be an emphasis on health. This is especially so since the Sun and Saturn are also in Virgo. What is happening for many is an uncovering of the previously unseen.
Realize that Eclipses are like contractors looking for flaws in the structure of a relationship or an endeavor. You are being called upon to recognize what needs to be fixed and to take care of yourself. Recognize what is happening and what the events since March 2006 have been driving you toward.
The last Eclipse in this series will occur on February 21, 2008 in Virgo as a Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse. At that time we will all reach the conclusion of themes we have been dealing with since March 2006.
August and early September has definitely been a lot of energy to deal with. If you’ve found it a bit hard to handle, hang in there and realize it’s not just you. It will calm down by late September.
Below is a line up of the planets, the signs they currently occupy and the dates in which they will change signs. Do note that we now only have two planets in retrograde motion!!!
