Today, April 2, 2007, there is a Full Moon In Libra that is exact at 1:15pm EDT.  All full moons should be respected of course, but this one should prove a little easier on us due to it’s being in the Air Sign of Libra.

A Libran Full Moon asks us to approach others by listening attentively with an open heart, and open mind and without interruption.   But open communication today may be a wild card due to this Full Moon opposing the Sun in Aries.  

Tensions in relationships may be brought to the fore.  But they are likely to be in a passive-aggressive way, as Libran energies typically attempt to avoid conflict because this is a peace loving sign.  Minimally, it will spotlight issues one may have with setting personal limits / boundaries VS. maintaining a sense of self when involved with others.  This is one of Libra’s learning curves.  All of the signs have something they are challenged with, boundaries and retaining “sense of self” is Libra’s.  So that is everyone’s focus now.

The opposition between today’s Sun and Moon sends us the message to know one’s self (Aries) in an effort to know others (Libra); therefore we allow others to truly know us.  It’s interesting isn’t it?  IF we know ourselves and ALLOW ourselves to be known by others, the true nature of all things can be revealed.

So the energies of today through Friday, are asking us to look at this “opposition” and to decide:

*  if we are taking “self-care” at the detriment of another OR are we self-sacrificing for another to our detriment?  Hopefully, many find themselves in a healthy balance between the two.
*  And how do our actions affect the people in our lives?

These are questions we should ask and answer for ourselves individually.  That is what this energy is calling us to task on.  The purpose is NOT to judge ourselves about this.  The purpose is to establish where we are on this issue and decide if we are where we want to be.

Interestingly, Libra rules “Karma” and this sign’s duty is to give us the ability to pursue the right and just action with respect to others but without damaging ourselves!

We don’t get extra points for being a doormat or playing the martyr.  Aside from the fact that it’s unattractive and unintelligent, it is also karmically problematic and possibly damaging.  We are always and forever charged with the duty of protecting and defending our own soul, as well as the souls of others.

Keep in mind all Full Moon energies are always in effect for 4 – 5 days before and after the exact date.  

In short, this Full Moon in Libra opposing the Aries Sun, is about maintaining emotional self reliance in our relationships!
