This morning, exact at 6:30am EST, we have Sept.'s New Moon in Virgo at 15 degrees, joining the Sun and still retrograded Mercury. New Moons signify rebirth, new beginnings, new cycles. In this sign, it will also deal with communication, physical health, work routines & service to others. It's joining with the Sun symbolizes "an agreement of heart and soul".

Although New Moon energies are wonderful for new initiatives, caution should be used due to the Retrograde Mercury, still in effect. Mercury (in Virgo) goes direct on Sept. 12, however this will be the time it creates the most disturbances. It will fully straighten itself out, once it passes the degree that it retrograded at, on Sept. 28th.

It would be my advice to plan your new initiatives NOW, and over the course of the next 2 weeks, but to take no formal action until Sept. 28th or later.

Also today, VENUS enters SCORPIO at 11:44am EST through Nov. 7th. this is an unusually long stay for Venus in any sign, typically 3 weeks, but Venus will retrograde this year. It will go back into Libra on Nov. 7, only to return to Scorpio again from Nov. 30 through Jan. 8, 2011. So we are in for a tremendous dose of Venus in Scorpio energy.

Love relationships and heart connections will feel unusually intense during this transit. There could be a bit more cunning behaviors involved as well. Scorpion energy is courageous in love, if nothing else, and very powerful. Scorpion Venus energy also tends to be a bit more psychic. So all will be more aware of what is really going on, and frankly, will plot accordingly. In addition to the perceptiveness and intensity, this energy is strongly connected to sex / sexuality.
