Today, I will focus on recent and upcoming changes in the inner planets.  In totality, we are all experiencing a lot of shifting energies / influences, and as a result we will see our lives and relationships changing.  Be prepared to be patient with yourselves and on another until the dust settles.

December opened with Mercury moving into Sagittarius where it will stay until December 21st.  In general, because so many planets (Sun, New Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Pluto) will be aligned in the sign of Sagittarius during the month of December, the theme of growth, optimism and desire will prevail right up until just before Christmas.  Just be careful NOT to overdo with all of this Sagittarius energy, as that will be the potential pitfall of the energy.  Mercury, ruler of communication and travel, will serve to make most more communicative, outgoing, and easier to engage in conversation.  You may not want to believe everything you hear though, as there is some tendency toward exaggeration, and ignoring reality for a dream.  But it can be a very fun and enjoyable energy if you can keep things grounded in fact.

Yesterday, December 5th, Venus moved into Scorpio and will transit there until December 30th.  This placement will bring a heightened intensity in romance.  Any relationship begun with Venus in Scorpio will be deep and compulsive.  It is wise to be careful with money and be certain of what you purchase with Venus in Scorpio because you are equally likely to be compulsive with money.  So this may not be good with Christmas coming up and should be kept in mind while shopping.  Venus is “at it’s detriment” in Scorpio and is historically not particularly good for the financial markets.

Coming up on Sunday, December 9th at 12:40pm is this month’s New Moon in Sagittarius.  New Moons mark a two week window of opportunity for everyone of New Beginnings and to begin a new venture of some kind, with the energy declining in strength with each passing day after the New Moon.  What this means to each person is dependent upon your Sun and Rising Signs.  Most know their Sun sign and your time of birth determines your Rising Sign.  

Below I have listed what house Sagittarius emphasizes for each Sign so that you have an idea of what THIS New Moon is asking you to focus on.  Note both areas if you are aware of your Rising as well.  

Because there is so much Sagittarius energy this month and we have a New Moon, also in Sagittarius, it has a lot of POWER. So it is particularly important to note the areas Sagittarius represents for you!!!  Do be expansive and optimistic in these areas, keeping reality in mind!!!!  In other words, work the energy to your benefit.  December 9th (after 12:40pm EST) through December 17th are the strongest of the energies.

For Aries, it’s the 9th house of Foreign affairs, travel, higher education, religion, values, higher ideals

For Taurus, it’s the 8th house of sex, other people’s money, shared resources, self mastery, death

For Gemini, it’s the 7th house of Partners, open enemies, competition, visual beauty, balance

For Cancer, it’s the 6th house of health, work, colleagues, employees

For Leo, it’s the 5th house of love affairs, creativity, children, risk taking, self-esteem

For Virgo, it’s the 4th house of home, family, dependency, nurturing, parents

For Libra, it’s the 3rd house of communication, siblings, near vicinity (neighborhood), transportation, learning

For Scorpio, it’s the 2nd house of earned income, tangible beauty, comfort, pleasure

For Sagittarius, it’s the 1st house of self, identity, appearance, self action, instincts

For Capricorn, it’s the 12th house of the sub-conscious mind, higher self, need for oneness, visions, dreams

For Aquarius, it’s the 11th house of hopes and wishes, friends, groups, causes

For Pisces, it’s the 10th house of career, authority, reality, status
