Yesterday, Jupiter entered the sign of Capricorn, for the first time since 1996, and will remain there until January 5, 2009.  It is said that Jupiter is the sign of benevolence, expansion, protection and good luck.  It will now be gracing all Capricorns in this way for the next 12 months.  The ONLY draw back to this is to note that there is a tendency to gain a little weight whenever Jupiter is in your sign.  So all Capricorns may want to watch the scale a little more closely in 2008 if this is a concern for you.  Expansion is the key word for Jupiter and it does translate to the physical body!

Jupiter spent 2007 in the very expansive sign of Sagittarius, which is it’s Home.  In 2008 we will all feel a shift in Jupiter’s energy as it transits the more conservative earth sign of Capricorn.  Contained and well-founded growth will be the theme for all of us.  Unbridled expansion will not be permissible, which is the lesson of this coupling.  But if the energy is handled well, the rewards will come to us in due time.  If expansion is sought out too aggressively or quickly, set backs will be experienced.  Building a strong foundation in order to grow, advance and expand is what will be important through early January 2009.  Build your foundations well for your endeavors and you can expect steady and prosperous growth.

Below I have listed what houses Capricorn emphasizes for each sign.  If you know your Rising Sign, as well as your Sun sign, do note both houses.  They are equally important.  For an idea of what 2008 MAY hold for you, think back to 1996 for a clue.  That was the last time Jupiter was in the sign of Capricorn!!!

For Aries, it’s the 10th house of career, authority, reality, status.  Arians will enjoy advancement in all of these categories!

For Taurus, it’s the 9th house of Foreign affairs, travel, higher education, religion, values, higher ideals.  Watch out Taurus, you will be traveling more in 2008 and experiencing a lot of change in the “higher” mind and consciousness.

For Gemini, it’s the 8th house of sex, other people’s money, shared resources, self mastery, death.  Um, need I say more?  The sex drive and ability to utilize it WILL sky rocket now!  You are the sex God/Goddess of the zodiac for the next year.  You are also extra lucky now with any loan applications.

For Cancer, it’s the 7th house of Partners, open enemies, competition, visual beauty, balance.  It’s important to note that some Cancers may see 2008 as the year that they marry and/or establish a vital and important business partnership.  You will be very concerned with your visual beauty and improving it.  2008 will be your year of feeling much more “balanced” than you have in years passed.

For Leo, it’s the 6th house of health, work, colleagues, employees.  Leos, your health and your work are protected this year!  Take advantage of it.  Build your foundation, move forward!

For Virgo, it’s the 5th house of love affairs, creativity, children, risk taking, self-esteem.  It’s important to note that some Virgos may well see 2008 being a high period in their love lives and / or their creative projects.  Pregnancy or an especially good year with existing children is also a strong possibility.  If you do not want a new child this year, be especially careful!!!!!!!!!!!!

For Libra, it’s the 4th house of home, family, dependency, nurturing, parents.  Many Libras are due to see a vast improvement in their living / home circumstances.  A change or upscaling of residence is highly likely.  Enjoy your parents as well, your relationship with them will be fulfilling.

For Scorpio, it’s the 3rd house of communication, siblings, near vicinity (neighborhood), transportation, learning.  Siblings become more prominent than usual in 2008, as does your neighborhood, travel and the WAY or MODE in which you communicate!  Oddly, but accurately, 2008 is a good year for you to buy and upgrade your electronics.

For Sagittarius, it’s the 2nd house of earned income, tangible beauty, comfort, pleasure.  None to worry that Jupiter left your sign, because now it will guide the way for you in your earnings!!!  Make no mistake, money is going to improve vastly.

For Capricorn, it’s the 1st house of self, identity, appearance, self action, instincts.  It’s ALL things good for you ALL year!!!  Just watch the scale!

For Aquarius, it’s the 12th house of the sub-conscious mind, higher self, need for oneness, visions, dreams.  Your dreams come to life!  Trust your intuition even more than usual, but remember to keep it in perspective as that is what Capricorn would call for.  You may well find a distinct rise in your psychic ability which will assist you in all matters of your life.  Go with it!

For Pisces, it’s the 11th house of hopes and wishes, friends, groups, causes.  Pay special attention to your hopes and wishes, as this is the year that you can make them come true through building a strong foundation.  Forget the nay sayers.  This is YOUR year of dreams coming true!  Make it happen.  Your friends will play an integral role to you this year as well.

On another note…….  

Saturn went retrograde today at 9:09am EST.  It will be retrograde until May 2, 2008.  Saturn is the planet of karma and the past.  When it is in retrograde motion, we will all be thinking more about the past and possibly be more attached to it.  

On a more general level, this could cause delays in professional, financial and legal issues, as Saturn, now in Virgo, will impact all of these things.  Take the time now to secure a strong foundation in any matter showing weakness.  This is an opportunity to examine things more carefully for yourself, in order to avoid more serious problems later.  This is NOT a good time to embark on a new business venture!!!!  Save that for after May 2nd.  It is a good time to redirect our thoughts toward a more reality based attitude.  The economy could be affected in a less than positive way through early May as well.  

It’s retrograde motion may further slow our progress, in any number of arenas, while also building momentum that can manifest next spring and summer. This delay, combined with the current Mars retrograde, adds to our frustration.  Keep this in mind IF you become very frustrated and know that it is for reason.  Retrograde planets are always asking us to look within and to take time to secure strong foundations and make corrections.  All is for reason.  Never doubt that.  Try not to fight against the energies, but work with them.
