~~~ JUST ANOTHER FUNNY STORY~~~
I wanted to share with you a story that Mama told me this weekend.... I laughed so hard that tears came from my eyes.
Mama and I were having coffee Saturday morning about 5:30 and we were talking about what it was like being at the old home stead in garrison. as a child I remember my grand parents living in this old house that didn't have any heat other than its roaring fireplace in the wintertime. Lots of fond memories for me. any who....
Mama was talking about having to milk the cow in the barn and a dog that the family had at the time. well apparently this old dog followed mama everywhere she went.
and mama, the dog. and the milk cow were in the milking stall and the cow sat right down on the dog.... well mama being a young girl about 12 was doing all she could to get the cow to stand back up and get off the dog. the dog was yellepin' somethin fierce.
well she finally got the cow up and the dog run off. well turns out the dog did just fine. but every time something happened around the house ( mama called it ..."some ruckus or such..") or someone was coming up the sandy road to the house. that dog would chase that milk cow and catch her tail. the dog ended up pulling the cows tail off...
mama said every time somethin happen that dog would blame that cow for it and chase it down... that dog hated that cow....
