"Living in the Moment"
To live in the present sounds so easy, doesn't it? It's not for many of us. It is hard to just enjoy the now. The reason being is simple; we always want more of what the present is offering us if its good who wants to let go of what is good? I don't.
The future can be frightening if we think too much. A reading can be helpful in guiding us. Non the less, its hard to just not obsess.
There are moments in time in when everything is so perfect and we desperately wish to go back to that special place to re-live that time or change something about it. However, we never can.
Recently, I had one of those moments in time where I found such peaceful joy in my heart that it is hard to forget. I keep wanting to re-live that moment, those few hours. Then I keep telling myself I should have done something different made it better or last longer. I am not the keeper of time. It past me.
The thing is I don't have to forget it, I need to cherish it and remind myself as I remind all of you to please live "in the moment". The seconds pass quickly as do hours and days. Do not live for tomorrow, hope for it. Look forward to it. Relish in the moments past and when you are directly in them. This is far better then living in regret.
The past is already behind you, as is mine. If that moment never came again as what I experienced one evening, I will be sad, yes. I will still be grateful to have had the feeling and I will always remember.
I will still look ahead because looking in the rear view mirror does not help to see the road ahead of me and I do not want to miss the next "moment" in time whenever that may be. I will be happy to help you with your's.
Please remember to live in the present as it is indeed a gift and also to enjoy those spectacular surprises life throws at us.
Love,
Michelle
