Exercise For Receiving Messages
Make sure you put yourself in a very peaceful area to begin this exercise. Turn off the phone and relax your mind. Take a few cleansing breaths, and release any stress. With each breath imagine the stress leaving your body and being released through your fingers and toes. Once you have released this stress and are totally relaxed, imagine a huge ball of white light coming through the very top of your head. This light is warm and soothing.
Now imagine the most peaceful place you can think of. Often people will imagine a seashore or a peaceful setting in the woods. As an example, imagine where your feet are. On the shore you may feel your feet sinking into the warm sand, in a field you may feel the grass tickling your toes. Focus on your body and the soothing surroundings. Become in tune with your breathing and this very safe place. Continue taking breaths in through your mouth and out through your nose. Feel the sunshine upon your face and a soothing breeze blowing through your hair. You are happy and at peace. Listen to your surroundings in this peaceful place and then in your mind ask your spirit guide to step forward to you. Ask a simple question.
If this is your first time doing this, don't become overwhelmed if you don't hear the answers. Often the answers will come quickly. Practice this exercise, and in time you should be able to ask specific questions and receive the answers.
