Blazin' Hot Blog....Sssssssss
Today was a beautiful day to ride with the top down in my little convertible car. No, I didn't take the broom stick since it was day time ;-)
What made the day beautiful mostly was the great blue skies, cotton like clouds and the peek-a-boo sun that radiated it's intense beams of light down on me as I drove around running errands and such.
However, there is a point and moral to the story...I'm sunburned!!!
Yes, this gorgeous day had a bit of a sting. I suppose you really shouldn't judge a book by it's cover?
In reference to life, we must remember that all things happen for some great reason, all divine, all right. There are no coincidences or mistakes, just life and the human that is living it.
I KNOW why I'm burned...I didn't use sunblock. Valuable lesson? I suppose, since I knew what the consequences would be without it. Lessons tend to repeat themselves until learned. Trust me, I have the lobster skin to prove it...ouch!
The Sun:
In the Western Occult Tradition, each planet has traditionally possessed both a spirit and an intelligence: ethereal souls (sometimes called daemons) responsible for the baleful and beneficial influences (respectively) of the individual planet. After all, even humans have souls, and the planets of the Celestial realm are far more spiritual, existing closer to God and constructed of a much more rarefied matter. It was therefore logical to occultists that the planets also possessed their own souls.
Identity of the Intelligence
The name of the Sun's intelligence, responsible for the planet's beneficial influences, is Nachiel.
Construction of the Planetary Sigil
This sigil, published by Henry Cornelius Agrippa in his Three Books of Occult Philosophy and frequently repeated in other publications, is constructed through numerology and magic squares. The name Nachiel is spelled out in Hebrew, and then each Hebrew letter is associated with a number, as the Hebrew language inherently does. Each number is located on the magic square associated with the Sun, and a line is drawn to pass through each number.
Aesthetic Choices
The terminating circles at each end of the line appear to have been added for purely aesthetic reasons. Many hold that the sigil can also be freely rotated, either for aesthetic purposes or to further disguise the meaning and method of construction of the sigil.
Purpose of The Sigil
This sigil would be used to attract the beneficial influences of the Sun, which according to Agrippa includes being renowned, amiable, acceptable; potency in all works, equaling a man to kings and princes, elevation to high fortunes, and success in all endeavors.
I recently purchased the Osho Zen tarot deck. I had two good reasons to buy this deck, one reason being that I've posted in a previous blog this deck as a 'featured' deck. Also, there is an advisor on KEEN, and I don't know her personally, but I was drawn to her listing because she featured 'Osho Zen' cards, which rang a bell or rather struck a chord inside me.
Sooooo...long story, short: Went online, found the deck, ordered it and now it has arrived!
I have several other decks, by the way, kind of a hobby of mine or a collection, if you will. They are all very similiar in functionability, some even similiar in illustration. Also, there is differences in their meanings, according to their creator or author.
But not this new deck, no, not 'Osho Zen'! It is in a league all of it's own. I'm not saying it's better than the others, it's just not like the others. The similiarities are there, but the whole point of it's exsistence is a total different spiritual journey. Upon one night of contemplation of the cards, I had went inside my inner most core, scryed and connected to the otherside and was left feeling as though the journey had JUST begun! Oh, so much insight and awareness came from a single night of reflection.

THE LOVERS
What we call love is really a whole spectrum of relating, reaching from the earth to the sky. At the most earthy level, love is sexual attraction. Many of us remain stuck there, because our conditioning has burdened our sexuality with all kinds of expectations and repressions. Actually the biggest 'problem' with sexual love is that it never lasts. Only if we accept this fact can we then really celebrate it for what it is - welcome its happening, and say good-bye with gratitude when it's not. Then as we mature, we can begin to experience the love that exists beyond sexuality and honors the unique individuality of the other. We begin to understand that our partner often functions as a mirror, reflecting unseen aspects of our deeper self and supporting us to become whole. This love is based in freedom, not expectation or need. It's wings take us higher and higher towards the universal love that experiences all as one.
These three things are to be taken note of: the lowest love is sex - it is physical - and the highest refinement of love is compassion. Sex is below love, compassion is above love; love is exactly in the middle.
Very few people know what love is. Ninety-nine percent of people, unfortunately, think sexuality is love - it is not. Sexuality is very animal; it certainly has the potential of growing into love, but it is not actual love, only a potential ...
If you become aware and alert, meditative, then sex can be transformed into love. And if your meditativeness becomes total, absolute, love can be transformed into compassion. Sex is the seed, love is the flower, compassion is the fragrance.
Buddha has defined compassion as 'love plus meditation'. When your love is not just a desire for the other, when your love is not only a need, when your love is a sharing, when your love is not that of a beggar but an emperor, when your love is not asking for something in return but is ready only to give - to give for the sheer joy of giving - then add meditation to it and the pure fragrance is released. That is compassion; compassion is the highest phenomenon.
