Happy 'HUMP DAY'!

Wednesday is 'Hump Day'.  I would like to think everyone knows what this means, but I am mistaken.  Time and time again on Wednesdays of the past I've said this, beginning with the word 'Happy' to cheerfully greet someone, and commonly I get mixed reactions.

'Hump' in 'Hump Day' refers to the middle of the week...the 'hump'...the hill...YOU KNOW?  If not, now ya do and that's that and today is still Wednesday.

Flower Readers?

I was reading a story online today similiar to one I posted about a few blogs ago about how good business has been for psychics.  It's the economy and this story I was reading was out of New York.  I think more interesting was the part about how some consult a flower reader.  Apparently the client picks out a flower and holds it while their aura is passed off to the flower and then the adviser reads the flower.  Not sure about this one?  Not doubting it's ability, I've just never heard of it and I love that about life...always learning.  Did you know about flower readers?  Well, feel free to tell me more or anything you want to share.  Preferably something off-the-wall, fun & weird...yeah, that sounds good and leave it in a comment!

Mr Kelly's Money Potpourri

Since the economy is in such a slump, if you are feeling it's effect, here is a concoction that is sure to set money attracting energies into motion.

  • 2 cinnamon sticks, broken into pieces
  • 4 tbsp. whole cardamom seeds
  • 2 tbsp. whole cloves
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg ( or 2 whole nutmegs )
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger

With your fingers, mix these ingredients in a small bowl, while visualizing increased prosperity.  As you mix them, say these or similar words:

Money simmer in the air;  Money shimmer everywhere!

To use, fill a pot with at least 2 cups water.  Add the mixture.  Simmer over low heat for 1/2 hour or longer.  If you'll be simmering for longer than a half hour, add more water.  If you wish, use a potholder to carry the simmering pan around your house to further spread its energies. (A simmering potpourri pot can also be used. )  As the scent rises, the power that you've placed into the potpourri is automatically released.

Never simmer such mixtures simply for fun, or to deodorize your home.  To do so wastes their energies.  Reserve your simmering potpourri for magical purposes and create general mixtures for deodorizing purposes.

Spell of the Day

Skull Amulet and Spell

To help break the chains of any addiction

How to:  Wear a gold skull-shaped charm on a necklace as a magickal amulet.  Rub the skull three times a day while focusing your eyes upon it and thinking about the misery that your addiction brings.  After three months, remove the skull from the chain and throw the amulet into a moving body of water.

Featured 'Deck of the Day':

Crow's Magick

By Londa Marks

Travel to another time and place where strange planets and empyrean worlds merge with wildlife, cyber-creatures, and geometric spirits. The crow is king of this powerful deck. The Crow's Magick deck and book work in tandem to merge the cyber world with new perspective and freedom of mind for a more fulfilling reality.

The Crow's Magick Tarot is the second deck created by artist Londa. The cards have a very dark feel, probably because most of the scenes have a black background. I'm not sure how the symbols relate to traditional tarot, but the images are powerful.

Regardless of what you call 'Hump Day', it's still just Wednesday and I hope you have a good one!
