RIP Barnaby Charley
For those that keep up with my blogs, may remember the fish I claimed to have 'rescued' from a local store in town. This was last month (May or June). Long story short, I got the fighting fish, bought a snail to accompany him (since he doesn't get along well with other fish), fed him daily and kept his bowl clean, but still, the inevitable...goodbye Charley.
I've never been able to keep a fish alive, as long as I can remember. I have such a love for animals, I know it's not due to neglect, but I don't know why? I suppose the life of a fish, specifically these small, fresh water kind, is short? Fact of life.
Barnaby Charley will be missed. In respect of his family, he was buried at sea (I hope that's where the toilet let him out???)...& now he's gone over the rainbow bridge!

Apple Pie
This delightful spell from Eastern Europe will help you attract and keep true your chosen lover.
Ingredients:
A Pink Candle
A Red And A Green Apple
A Pen And Slip Of Paper
3 Braided Silk Threads
Light the candle and, holding the apples in your outstretched hands, ask for Venus' blessing. Cut each apple in half and remove the seeds, keeping them safe for later. Write or draw on the paper the attributes of your ideal lover or the name of someone you have in mind. This should not be someone who is already in a good relationship or the spell will not work.
Take one half of the green apple and one half of the red, insert the paper between them and bind together with the silk threads. Think quietly about your wish while eating the remaining apple halves. Take the bound apple and tie it to a tree or a window casement.
After 21 hours, collect the apple and remove the threads to free the spell. Cut the apple into pieces and leave outside for the birds to eat. Keep the threads in a special place in your home. Take the paper and reserved apple seeds and plant them, remembering to give thanks to Mother Earth for her gifts. As the seeds grown and embark upon their journey in life, so love will come to you.
