Consulting the Tarot for Yourself...

Sunday, lazy day to do...well, nothing! That's what I like about that, however, I find it more an entertaining thought, versus reality.
Since I seldom read for myself (I like surprises), I didn't foresee today's events at all.
I wake to my grandfather knocking at the door telling me I need to come check on my grandmother. Of course, I do. I suppose it's 8 in the morning, not bad.
Upon arrival, my grandmother is talking irrational, however, in bed. She apparently hasn't the strength to actually get out of bed without help. I chatted with her a little bit, but most of it made no sense.
We decided to call the ambulance to come check it out. They couldn't find a thing wrong with her, at least outside the normal. So, they took her with them to the hospital.
About an hour or so later, she's diagnosed with bladder infection and this is apparently the cause of her illness, state of mind, irrational speech, all of it. When she comes back home, I have to help her walk in, as she is barely able to walk, and looks basically the same as when I called 9-11.
She's in bed now, sleeping. This is, at this point, the best that can be arrived at.
Now, I turn to magik, and all I know and believe:
She is better off on the other side where she would be pain-free and with other loved one's that have passed before her. This is logical thinking, not emotional.
However, that brings in my grandfather who has very crazy religious beliefs that have him grounded. On that note, the death of my grandmother would be devasting to him. Me too, but, I'm speaking logical right now. For me to achieve this, and remain magikal, I cannot be selfish or judge on emotion.
This is the great part of life. 'Out with the Old, In with the New', as it's said. I would say, 'as they say', but I've yet to figure out who 'they' are? But, that really is a blunt & true statement.
I need my path to remain clear and educational, therefore divination on this matter is not an option. This is just my opinion, and am at liberty to change this at will.
What Do You Think?
Similiar stories of inspiration or opinions on 'when to seek divination' and 'when not to' are also welcome topics. Feel free to discuss here by leaving a comment. And of course, your always invited to leave a comment just because.
Tarot Deck of the Day:
Fenestra Tarot

The Fenestra Tarot is a pretty deck, with 78 soft, watercolour, almost sepia-toned cards. It roughly follows the Rider-Waite format in the tarot scenes, surrounding them with large, decorative borders. New from US Games.
Sunday Ghost Story

This one is short, but like the others I write about, told to be truth.
I've been thinking about this for awhile now, as I've recently returned to my hometown and just a few miles or so to the next town sits a haunted house.
I don't have any 'hands-on' story, but have seen & felt this house numerous times.
The house is large, and white in color. It sits several acres off the back road. Going down the back road, especially at night, (the best time to see it) you will have a hard time as there are few street lights in that area. No worries though, this is the 'House that Glows', as dubbed by all the locals.
That's right, out of the dark, you suddenly see, driving by it, a house on the hill glowing like the light of the full moon.
Legend has that it's haunted and this explains the glow. Others say it's just the city lights reflecting off the paint. I say it's haunted and the 'city lights' people probably don't believe in Santa Clause, either!
Spell of the Day

To Protect Your Children From Kidnappers:
Burn 5 cloves in a small dish. Using your ring finger, dab the ash from the cloves on your child's forehead, chin and both cheeks. Chant while doing this: "Protect (mention the child's name) from all strangers and harm from them."
This should protect your child from unfortunate encounters on the routes you've taught them to travel.
No Work On Sunday...

This isn't really a joke, as much as a funny, and true, story.
I was listening on the radio at two personalities yesterday, and they were talking about how their parents were overly religious. In as much that they were firm believers that one was NOT to work on Sunday...must keep that day holy.
The female speaker reported that she a child, she remembered playing on the porch one Sunday with the broom, and her mother saw this, made her come back inside for fear the neighbors might see her and think she was sweeping.
Coming from a similiar background, at least from the grandparents influence, I found this very humorous as this behavior is common to many. Magically speaking, this is kind of sad, now that I think about it.
