Before I give you the 'Tarot Deck of the Day' segment, I do want to talk a little about the Tarot Cards.

I know, you're thinking this is a great chance to learn something new...naw...I'm just going to brag a little bit as I'm totally stoked about my latest spending spree (and trust, these don't come often).

Out and about a few days ago, off on a shopping spree at the local occult supply store, I found new friends!

 

 

My first friend I want to talk about is the 'Universal Waite' Pocket Tarot Deck! When I saw this deck (similiar to my own standard deck at home) through the glass case, I immediately thought 'those are the cutest things I've ever seen'! Knowing how frugal I am about spending, I knew this was one of my weak moments and these cards HAD to come home with me. Let me tell you, I LOVE THEM. They are indeed the cutest things ever, easy to manipulate and shuffle and obviously travel size. However, I'm old fashioned and will always use MY deck, I call one of my many decks 'MY' deck because it get's favoured. I have a passion for all my cards, but these I've empowered and have given more life to than the others. In time...in due time. I'm not going to give names, but I actually did a test drive of the new cards on a client a few nights ago and they work good. Notice I didn't say GREAT as their energy was that of an infant. Back to MY deck!

 

(This deck was a featured 'Deck of the Day' in a past blog of mine.  However, I am not going to go hunting for it as much as I want to.  If you want to know more, review my past blogs or search via internet the deck...best advice, ask someone who has a deck!)

 

Same story, next item...there, in the case staring back at me..."The Robin Wood Tarot". Why do I need these? Why have they came up in my life for many years? Why are they always being referred to? And why am I here pondering this deck...'I'll take them' I affirmed to the salesman (who was quit helpful, btw). Now...I also brought home another new child to raise...but...after close inspection of the cards (and you know I did), I had an immediate connections and, don't say this out loud, don't want to hurt my deck's feelings, but felt as though I was reading them like a book coming alive...just like the tarot is suppose to be read...but easier than I've ever experienced, yet.

 

 

Don't worry, not gonna replace MY deck anytime soon...but these definately could be a close match in the near future as they're almost the same as the one's I prefer. However, I DO plan on using them for my 'Tarot Spells' I offer here on KEEN (see all my listings at www.KEEN.com/MrKelly777). They just scream 'POWER' in a spell cast!

Before I finished shopping, I gathered up some of the quick need supplies; candles, incense, candle snuffer, etc. Then, out of curiosity and as fate would have it, I asked the salesman why I didn't see any Rune Stones? This has always been a curiosity to me, but I've really never delved into it...mostly to keep my focus on the Tarot.

This day was different. The salesman quickly took me to the location where the stones where. I had overlooked them, as they were low on the shelf and only a few to select from.

There were stone runes and wooden runes. I understand that the wooden are more alike the original rune, but felt 'blah' when handling them. I seen the other set, clear and crystal rocks with the symbols etched into them. These were the one's I wanted! The were 'pretty'...so I looked at them...guess what? 'Blah'. Yep, not the energy I had hoped for. 'I don't HAVE to have a rune set today', I thought. Then the salesman handed me the last set, a set of Polished Bloodstone runes with Gold etching. As I held them, my soul begin to light up. I think I love these? Can't imagine how, since their color is not my favorite...but...yet, they're beautiful. Decision made, they wanted to go home with me, and they did! So, I have new runes...I have new runes...I have new...sorry, couldn't help but brag...I REALLY love them!

I've since read everything I can find on the subject and realize, as with most divination and occult matters, much study and application need to be applied. However, I have figured out some basic readings as Rune divination can be like Tarot spreads if you so wish. There are a million different opinions, too, out there on how to do it. What I've learned, is it's a psychic talent and must really be learned from within your self, your soul and from the stones/runes, themselves. This is now what I've been working on today.

Being a novice at the Runes, but having an old soul that naturally divines, this should be an easy flow into my life. The best way to learn, for me, is from others and their experiences. If you're reading this and feel you have information that would help, please do advise. I am really interested in them and find it hard to resist just reaching in my bag and mixing them, or holding a few, or just touching them is sufficient.

 

 

Story conclusion, I finally finished shopping and checked out. Occult supplies can be costly, by the way! My advice is to make your own when possible.

 

 

I would like to talk about the Runes some more, as, I am eager to learn, and happen to be extremely fascinated with anything new. Is this a spiritual factor...in some way, but not the lesson here. Upon my studies, I've found more confusion than clarity. However, I've made a 'grounding cloth' for tossing the runes. It was made by following several online suggestions. It's got three cirlces, the elements and 4 other sections. If this sounds familiar to you, please contact me, as I WANT to learn this. It's calling me. I'm also in tossing only a few, not all 26 (25, but one is Wyrd...the 'I Don't Know, the Future is in control' stone). I feel like a full set casting on a rune reading would take days? Does it? I just want some quick and fun use of the divination and hopefully offer it to my clients in the near future!

Spring Break Psychic Attack!!!

 

 

Finally got a Spring break and have totally embraced it and all it concerns...even my new 'Robin Wood' deck feels like Spring. Today...though...ah, today. Not sure why, but had a case of Psychic Attack. Wasn't bad, though. Good thing I know how to get this out of my life. But, I awoke late, as waking today seemed impossible. Secondly, no matter how much coffee I drank (and this is my medicine), I could never shake the mood. As a psychic of sorts, I generally use these feelings as signs to watch out...here comes trouble...but it never came. KNOCK ON WOOD!

I still don't know what the vibes are for, who or where they're from, but I've managed to keep them at bay, at least neutralized for the most part. I find focus and dedication of your work to the highest and then embellishing in it for as long as possible a neat way of dealing with this. 'Shrug if off', as they say. I did...but I know it's still lurking. Not sure why, either, cause it knows me...and I've recognized it. This generally eliminates the problem immediately...I know my place and they know theres.

However, this one doesn't seem to get the hint. Honestly, it's a BIG one that's been around for many months or more. I KNOW you're there. And you know I've weakened a bit. This doesn't concern, as I've done nothing but grow stronger the past few months and do not plan on stopping.

This may, or may not be a bit confusing, but just know, Face Your Fears...this is Magick!

Spell of the Day

Mr. Kelly's Potion To Help Shed Pounds.

 

You will need:

*1 ox fennel seeds;

*patchouli oil;

*a 'poppet' (a doll to represent a person);

*fenned oil (optional)

Since you are trying to rid yourself of extra weight, work on a waning moon: Many women begin diets on Waxing Moons and can't understand why they can't stay with them. Make up a pot of fennel tea by steeping the seeds in 1 pint of boinling water for 5 minutes, then drink it during the day. This age-old rememdy is known to speed up the digestion of fatty foods and help sluggishness and flatulence. Taken in conjunction with a sensible eating regime it could make all the difference to staying with, and benefiting from, a reducing diet. Your doll is supposed to represent you. It could be bought or homemade, and you should dress it in clothes that represent you. It should start off swathed in layers of clothes; then each week, you remove an outer layer. This ritual is very important, since it helps to channel your belief in yourself, and see yourself actually as a person of decreasing size.

 

(Patchouli Oil)

 

The Patchouli oil can be burned during the day, but is even more effective massaged into the body (always dilute in a base oil: A few drops of essence to 2 sp. almond oil). You could also add a few drops of fennel oil. When you have achieved your ideal size, place your slimmer doll in a key position in the kitchen or where you eat room, and reduce your intake of fennel tea to one cup a day.
