Spring Break is over,
but the Thursday Blog is Back!
I can definately tell that my Spring Break is over. Obviously I'm back at work, that's a given, but my blogging time has went from a lot to hardly any.
But, here we are with my Thursday blog...because it's Thursday ;-)
The god Thor, after whom Thursday is named
Thursday is the fourth day of the week according to the Judeo-Christian calendar and the ISO 8601 international standard adopted in most western countries. In countries that adopt the Sunday-first convention, it is the fifth day of the week. It falls between Wednesday and Friday.
The contemporary name comes from the Old English Þunresdæg (with loss of -n-, first in northern dialects, from influence of Old Norse Þorsdagr), meaning "Day of Thor". Thor was the god of thunder and so most Germanic languages name the day either after Thor (torsdag in Scandinavia) or thunder (German Donnerstag, Dutch donderdag).
In Romance languages, the day is named after the Roman god, Jupiter who was the god of sky and thunder. In Latin, the day was known as Iovis Dies, "Jupiter's Day". In Latin the Genitive or possessive case of Jupiter was Iovis/Jovis and thus in most Romance languages it became the word for Thursday: Italian giovedì, Spanish jueves, French jeudi, Catalan dijous, and Romanian joi. But Portuguese, also an Romance language, uses the word quinta-feira, meaning "fifth day of liturgical celebration", that comes from the latin "feria quinta" used in religious texts where it was not allowed to consacrate days to pagan gods.
In most of the Indian languages the word for Thursday is Guruvar, with Guru being the Sanskrit name for the planet Jupiter.
In Slavic languages and in Chinese, this day's name is "fourth" (Polish czwartek, Russian четверг, pronounced CHET-vierg). Greek uses a number for this day: Πέμπτη, Pémpti, "Fifth," and Portuguese, too, uses a number for this day: quinta-feira, "fifth day", (see days of the week for more on the different conventions).
The Urdu name for Thursday is Jumeraate (eve of Friday).
In Paganism, this is the day of Thor, the Norse god of thunder.

Lessons Learned For ALL parties involved
I want to vent. Most of all my clients that call REALLY want to hear what I have to tell them and are cordial. Not last night. A 'regular', or at least someone I've had no problems working with in the past calls and immediately after I lay down two cards, she says in a hateful tone "You're not even close, that sounds nothing like him, I'm hanging up now (click)". No joke...I thought being April 1st she had to be pulling my leg, but no. Checked her account and she blocked me. My feelings are hurt...no, just kidding. Hers should be though, being rude, not being a psychic. Just out of curiosity, I completed the reading anyways, and the cards were not talking about 'him', but about someone very important she needed to know about...oh well, too bad for her. Life lessons come in all forms. Her emotion may have been taken out on me, but she's the one that is living with that anger and frustration. At this point, I can only pray for her as a good souled person would...and should.
Well, I feel better now that is off my chest. If you (the client that called me) read this, I am forgiving. If you ever have a change of heart, feel free to unblock me and call anytime. However, there are no more free minutes (for you), so, probably wouldn't do much good.

I've been trying out a new spread in my tarot, the week out spread, using 8 cards. Anyway, I've mentioned before I was keeping a journal and would keep you posted on the outcome.
Well, I'm behind, but I do want to say that the cards came to pass & I read for a family member with the same spread last week and he told me tonight he dreaded to answer the phone when I called because he knew it would prove another reading right, as his entire week had been following the path of the cards. I always thought he was a believer, but know I now he is!
