Saturday the 14th

U Rock For Reading My Blog!!!

It Was A Cold & Rainy Night...

In some of my past blogs I mentioned how beautiful the weather has been. And like all good things, this had to come to an end. It is freezing! Plus rain and wind, just yuk! I am thankful for the weather we had and am hopeful for more coming soon. I'm not against the cold, especially if it would snow a few inches or better. Nice, white and fluffy. Perfect for building a snowman, or throwing snow balls at your friends. More like snow flurries, ice storms, muddy & slick. Just not the best situation at times.

Today has been a cold day. Not the coldest ever, but I was really enjoying that lovely Spring weather!

My Favorite Quote:

This is from the 'Book of the Law' by ANKH-F-N-KHONSU:

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.

The study of this Book is forbidden.  It is wise to destroy this copy after the first reading".

It makes me laugh.

Working For The Weekend...

So today is Friday and that means it's the weekend! For most, this is good news. For me, it definately is! I always look forward to the weekend. Guess it's something instilled in me from a young age? Truth of the matter, I still have work on the weekend. However, I managed to get all my 'fun' work on this day.

Deck of the Day

FeaturingGummy Bear Tarot

These adorable creatures have been transformed into 78 traditional tarot images. The bears cast their magic spells, wield their wands, and delight in reaching out to people through their mischievous imagery in the cards. Includes booklet of instructions. The artist is of German descent but grew up in Canada. Bittrich found inspiration in the great outdoors where he jokingly says the last of the wild Gummy Bears might still exist. He coins himself "The Gummy Bear Oracle."

I Survived Friday the 13th...

I hope I haven't lost you, but by the time I get this blog posted, it'll be Saturday...so, let's now get our attention away from Friday and onto Saturday!!! By the way, Friday was the 13th and I really intended to get on top of that one, but my home and work became very demanding and took me away from blogging.

So, how was your Friday the 13th? Lucky or no? Hope it was lucky, but if not, would love to hear your Friday the 13th story (unless too traumatizing)...comments at bottom of page!

SATURDAY

  • Is ruled by the planet Saturn.
  • The color associated with Saturn is black.
  • Saturn's influence is for psychic attack (its negative side), psychic self-defense (its positive aspect), to protect from evil, spirit communication, and anything connected with the home.

My Lucky Friday the 13th Story...

I didn't have a bad Friday the 13th, myself...since you asked. Other than my grandmother having an accident all over the bathroom (my grandfather cleaned it, he rocks!), I was at work during this madness. Seems the luck of the 13th did get some people. I got a real lucky deal, too, as my grandfather found an outlet in the neighboring town that had new Rabbit cages for only $35.00. I was looking for two new cages for my Rabbit and Chinchilla. They've been living in large dog carriers for several months now, since I moved back to Oklahoma. Such a tedious chore to clean up one of those, too...let me tell ya!

Anyway...I find myself really lucky today to not only find a great deal, but also to be notified by the sales associate that they have only 3 left...and I needed two...I got two cages for the price of one. The downfall, they were not assembled and required most of my evening putting them together. Mission accomplished, however and they look super. Both Babs (Rabbit) & Blanche (Chinchilla) seem to like their new homes. I can't blame them, either...the carriers felt like caves at times. I knew Blanche was OK with the transition as soon as she begin looking for her dust bath. She only takes them if she's comfortable with her surroundings.

If you've ever considered owning a Rabbit or Chinchilla as a pet, I would highly recommend to do so, as both animals are relatively easy to care for. I've had mine well over 5 years now and they're very friendly. My favorite part is their poo is odorless and dry. It falls down through their wire cage floor into a pan. Usually once a week I have to change them if my grandpa hasn't stolen it and used it for fertilizer...he's got some ways that are (thinking about it)...interesting!!!

I would consider my Rabbit, Babs, to be my familiar, as we have a very good bond. However, I am so drawn to the Chinchilla, Blanche, I just don't know? Maybe one's a spirit guide and the other the familiar? That is an interesting question. Do you know how to determine such an answer? I was thinking it would be a great blog topic, too!

MR KELLY'S 'GOOD LUCK' INCENSE

To help attract good luck use the following mixture:

  • 1 oz. cinnamon
  • 1 oz. powdered sandalwood
  • 1/4 oz. powdered frankincense
  • 1/4 oz. bayberry herb
  • 1/2 anise seed
  • 1/2 oz. grated orange peel
  • 1/4 tsp. saltpeter
  • 1 dram Louisiana Van Van oil
  • 2 drams tincture of benzoin

The recipe is burned in the traditional method by placing the incense on a hot charcoal in your incense burner.  In mixing them, powder all the solid ingredients and mix them well with your mortar and pestle.  Mix all the liquid ingredients to your powdered herbs.  Spread in a tin pan or plastic container and allow to dry for thirty minutes to an hour.  When dry, simply crumble up and you have your incense.

'Familiar' & 'Spirit Guide'...

I feel like I know what a 'Familiar' is for the most part. I suppose for me it's the lack of knowledge I have about the animal or pet 'Spirit Guide'. That's what I've only heard a bit about, or read somewhere? Not sure, but seems like maybe Sylvia Browne wrote about it and that's where I heard...but, seems logical and I'm a believer, anyway. So bring on more Pet Spirit Guide info! Comments or E-Mails welcome!

Spell of the Day

To Evoke Love In Your Lovers

Magical Aphrodisiac:

Make a mixture of one part lemon oil and one part patchouli.  Add the mixture to six parts of alcohol and add a few leaves of rue.  Take a nice hot bath so you're pink and steamy, then rub on the perfume.  Your men will always find you intriguing and lovable.

A Productive Day Off...

So, now that it's Saturday, and not Friday...what are your plans? I suppose it depends on the time of day you get around to reading this, but seems like we always have 'plans'. And if we don't, it makes us nervous. I mean, speaking mainly for myself, but find many that agree it's hard to be idle, even if you long to be. I so want a break, need a day off, and finally, it's here...gotta find a project, or I'll be bouncing off the walls. What's up with that? And it's not a need for an anti-depressant! When I don't have plans, I try to catch some calls from Keen and do some readings. I find Tarot can be a very good cure, indeed. I would suggest anyone in the same boat try...or even Runes, Scrying or anything, really, so long as you enjoy it and you harm no one. *Magik*

I do have to work early tomorrow morning, but once again, only for a few hours. I was also planning on staying up for awhile in case anyone tries to call for a reading, but am feeling the day and am growing tired. I am definately making plans to be available for calls tomorrow. I've got all my E-Mail readings caught up and am anxious to talk to you, so give me a call tomorrow if I don't hear from you tonight! Comment below and let me know you stopped by!

Have a Blessed Weekend...
