The Drumming Dervish

Coffee Chat Musings . . . Juicy Blessings ( & lots o' yummy, interesting stuff:-)

Ahh ~ Chooooo!!!!!!

". . . Could an elevated mood, one of happy expectation and hope for an exciting possibility or adventure, protect against certain viruses? One possible explanation for how this might work is that the rheovirus, shown to be the cause of the viral cold, uses the receptor for norepinephrine- an informational substance thought to flow in happy states of mind, according to the main psychopharmacological theories- to enter the cell.  Presumabley what happens is that when you're happy, the rheovirus can't enter the cell because the norepinephrine blocks all the potential virus receptors."

Candice Pert, PH.D., Research Professor in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington , DC. ((Was in the move: The Secret)) (Molecules of Emotion) pg 190

So! When we feel happy our body produces norepinephrine and we fill all our viral cold receptors with 'happy' chemicals BLOCKING  the cold from taking hold on our immune system!!!

Did someone sneeze in your face today?! Well, better grab some orange juice and choose an activity that triggers a happy feeling so you can get through this!!

"If the immune system can be altered by conscious intervention, what does this mean for the treatment of major diseases such as cancer? . . .  More recent, 1980's, studies by Lydia Temoshok, a psychologist then at UCSF, showed that cancer patients who kept emotions such as anger under the surface, remaining ignorant of their existence, had slower recovery rates than those who were expressive. Another trait common to these patients was self-denial, stemming from their own basic emotional needs. The immune systems were stronger and tumors smaller for those in touch with their emotions."

"The discovery of the opiate receptor touched off a mad scramble among scientific researchers to find the natural substance in the body that used the receptor- the key that would fit the lock . . . the only reason that made any sense for an opiate receptor to be in the brain in the first palce was if the body intself produced some kind of substance, an organic chemical that fit the tiny keyhole itself- natural opiate."

" . . . endorphins (!) the body's own natural morphine . . . which your bodies MAKE, too."

I was able to completely rid myself of cancer using biofeedback and positive affirmations.  I would call out what I called the "cleanup crew" in my body to clear the cancerous cells just like pacman.  It worked and I am cancer free 10 years later.  The power of your mind and your faith is boundless.  You just have to learn to direct your thoughts.

So are you Fawn I love your blogs they are so enlightening and informative.  I think we are just beginning to scratch the surface with what we can or cannot do and with the shift that is happening now more and more things are going to be evident that the scientists ignored for years.  Greg Bradens books really help to open your eyes also.

I have a book suggested by Malika to pick up at the library and then I'm going to discover Greg Braden. I'm ready for new material.
