Bodhisattvas & Wounded Healers

A spiritual teacher is NOT always a great looking, wealthy person of perfect health.

Have you ever been challenged to be patient & love someone even when you were feeling repulsed and angry?

Have you ever sacrificed a great deal of time & energy caring for someone who is disabled and unable to do this alone?

Have you been devastated by a seemingly senseless loss?

What about being touched and inspired by the life of a person you have never met?

Do you ever wonder what a certain soul would choose to do in a similar circumstance & find yourself trying to emulate that value?

How have you been changed by the pain and suffering of another?

A soul who chooses to come to Earth as a disabled person, a chronically ill person, a mentally ill or addicted person could BE a spiritual teacher.

It's best NOT to underestimate the power and glory behind the masks we wear on Earth.

[Bodhisattva- Buddhist deity: in Buddhism, a deity or being who has attained enlightenment worthy of nirvana but who remains in the human world to help others . . . ]

Society is obsessed with beauty, wealth and fame.

Obesity and 'ugly' are rejected as social outcasts.

WHAT IF the very soul you judge IS your teacher?

It's highly likely.

The Bodhisattva will take the form of someone who triggers 'stuff' within you which MOST needs re adjusting / healing. A deep 'bother' you can't escape.

The next time you judge a person because of their differences, PAUSE to really FEEL what it is you judge.

How can you be so certain they deserve such condemnation . . . do you REALLY know how they arrived to this place?

Light!

Fawn,
Being in the profession that we both share, I can see that we are exposed to many people from many walks of life. They, regardless of how ill they may be, are teachers that cross our path. There have been many that I have heard that indirect/direct message/lesson from.Being that I work with cancer patients I have had many lessons on death and living life.
I have lived the past 5 years not in a relationship due to the abuse I had suffered in the past, and have spent those 5 years working on myself. One day I decided it was time to explore the possibilities of a relationship. I prayed, visualized what I needed from the very heart and soul of my being and put it the hands of the divine. What I recieved was a wonderful man who through his owm tragities is very spiritual. He was in the military for 13 years, was a medic and saw many horrible things- resulting in PTSD, he was also struck by lightening while in a medic tent and has nerve damage from that. Lightening strikes affect neuro, cardio and many more if it doesnt kill you. He also was exposed to radiation fallout when Chernobyl nuclear power station, Prypyat, Ukraine, USSR in 1986 blew. His work here on this earth obiviously is not done.
He is teaching me much, esp love in forms I haven't experienced or have forgotten.
He teaches me compassion and giving.
He shows me how to "stop and smell the roses" that life is ment to be enjoyed. And I ruely believe he is my twin flame.
So to mirror what you have said; "A spiritual teacher is NOT always a great looking, wealthy person of perfect health. The Bodhisattva will take the form of someone who triggers 'stuff' within you which MOST needs re adjusting / healing. A deep 'bother' you can't escape. A being who has attained enlightenment worthy of nirvana but who remains in the human world to help others."
Thanks again for sharing such wonderful insight and truth!
