The Drumming Dervish

Coffee Chat Musings . . . Juicy Blessings ( & lots o' yummy, interesting stuff:-)

By the Way, Happy Mom's Day

I actually posted a funny story yesterday in honer of the day. However, THIS morning-

My 11 year old son and 18 year old daughter created a really nice homeade card with candid face shots/ a photo- they took and scanned of themselves.

They left it on my pillow so I'd see it when I got home from work this morning.

They did the dishes last night while I was at work.

And right before I began to nod off to sleep this morning . . .  after a 13 hour shift at the hospital last night, my 11 year old son brought me a big bowl of the 'last of the cinnamon toast crunch',

"Happy Mother's Day".

'I'm so blessed' ( says me, smiling as I curl up under the covers, but knowing that before I fully go to sleep I'll be up to pee about twenty times!)

Why does this always happen right when you are relaxed and about to float off to dream land?!

lol. May you feel JOY, beauty, grace and love  . . . all day long.

Light,

Fawn

I awoke to my daughter handing me a bowl of my favorite ice cream. Today I allowed myself to eat sweet and fattening things because they were given to me by my kids, who wanted me to be happy today. That counts for a lot!! I could feel their desire to give me a good day . . . I wish this for all mothers: that their children today, or one day appreciate them fully. That we all have at least one memory of our child/children wanting us to have good days.
