Three guesses! Who said this:

"If someone prays for patience, does God give them patience . . . or the opportunity to BE patient?"

"And, if someone prays for courage, do they recieve courage . . . or the OPPORTUNITY to be courageous?"

"If someone prays for family closeness what do they recieve? Yes, the opportunity to love each other more, of course!" ? ?

It could have been Neale Donald Walsch who said this. Well, he probably HAS said this in several of his Conversations With God books.

But I heard this quote in a recent movie I watched called 'Evan The Almighty' lol - quoted by Morgan Freeman who plays the character of GOD.

Back to Neale though. He wrote a Children's Book, The Little Soul & The Sun which reflects this concept so very well!!

I tend to go searching through my shelves for these beautifully illustrated words of truth, when the need for this particular message pops up in my life.

In The Little Soul, a spirit is reminded how so very perfect every soul is.

How connected every soul is.

How blessed, protected and loved every soul is.

She wants so much to experience herself and to find out more about this great universe and who she is. There is a conversation with God in this book as she works out what she needs and wants to learn in her next Earth life.

After examining the wonderful things she can experience, such as patience, courage, generosity and sacrifice. She decides that what she wants to learn and to know is FORGIVENESS. She is so excited to be able to go to Earth and learn what it feels like to truly forgive.

Then she is sad, because she realizes that since every soul is perfect and beautiful there in heaven, she won't be able to really know what this is. But another soul steps forward and introduces himself.

He reminds her that they have gone through several lifetimes together playing various roles and dancing many dances. He says that he will come to Earth with her again and do something very hurtful which will allow her the opportunity to learn forgiveness.

She is SO HAPPY and THANKFUL because this loving soul is going to help her learn this lesson! He asks her to remind him who he is, a divine & loving spark of God, once he does this very bad thing.

He says that often when souls come to Earth and learn these powerful lessons, they forget who they are and unless another loving soul reminds them, they will remain asleep and lost for a while.

God reminds us in this book, "I only send you Angels"

I love this book. Not because I'm inviting pain and suffering in to my life, but because I've experienced the opportunity to learn many of the virtues which souls come to Earth to know. I'm thankful for the beauty in this lesson.

I wonder if YOU can connect today with a much needed realization about what you have come to Earth to learn and to experience. Is there a person who you love dearly who has betrayed you?

If so, can you remember that in forgiveness and moving on . . . by setting yourself free through the true liberation of letting go - you remember WHO you are?

You are a divine spark of God. Your angels in life are often those who have brought you pain and the opportunity to transform & evolve through LOVE in all forms.

I'm not immune to deep sorrow and knee jerk anxiety reactions when things go spinning 'out of control' in my life. By all means, I'm in the same boat as you.

I simply LOVE to sit on my metaphorical front porch with my java and eat spirit cake with folks.

Light!
