GOD IS AN ICE CREAM SANDWICH?
Another blog today jogged my memory about God in relation to an Ice Cream Sandwich. You know me! I’m all about spirit cake and coffee chats, anything to do with food (smile)! So:
What is GOD?
There’s a resistance to the idea of GOD.
This intrigues me because it’s so obvious that SOMETHING exists, and the word God encompasses this concept of the SOMETHING.
The word GOD could be another set of letters which wrap around the idea of a divine existence, of ALL THAT IS.
To speak in riddles now:
The word GOD for me, interchanges with - GREAT SPIRIT, THE WHITE LIGHT, LOVE, SCIENCE (yea, science!).
God IS Science and that is quite a turn on! I mean of COURSE they are not two separate things. GOD IS SCIENCE IS GOD.
Is he a man in the sky with a long white beard? LOL. Of course! Why not?
Is he Zeus and Buddha, Krishna, Christ, Me, You, Trees, Mountains, the Earth’s core?
YES.
God is the connectedness of all things.
God is YOU & God is ME & God is the Space between us all.
God is creation and evolution.
God is the circle of time, beautiful and ugly, miraculous and tragic.
God is unexplainable, complicated AND so very simple.
God is LOVE.
ALL that exists is GOD.
There is nothing that exists outside of God because EVERYTHING IS GOD.
Now changing the word God to Love:
Love is creation and evolution. Love is You & Love is Me and Love is Space in between us all. Love is Zeus and Buddha, Krishna, Christ & and an old man in heaven with a long white beard.
It’s a BIG CIRCLE!
Round and round, up and down.
Experiencing SELF, which is US, all connected, WHICH IS GOD.
Evil and Kind,
Tainted and Pure,
Dogma and Karma, (hee hee, thinking of the bumper sticker “My Karma Ran over My Dogma”)
Eventually all of us, all of IT heading back to SOURCE, which is GOD, which is ALL THAT IS.
The name doesn’t matter, it’s just a word to describe this concept of essence of: BEING . . . attempted for eons by millions of people in a million different ways.
My son asked me at age four years old, “Mom, who is God?”
I asked him to think of the most healing, loving & joyful feeling he knew, and tell me about it, because this is probably what God is.
We were driving along and he was in the back seat. He thought about this for a minute:
“God is an ICE CREAM SANDWICH” He announced with confidence.
I smiled. Why not?
