The Drumming Dervish

Coffee Chat Musings . . . Juicy Blessings ( & lots o' yummy, interesting stuff:-)

Pet Lover's Miracle Story . . .

My dear ones,

I witnessed an honest to

goddess miracle this evening.

I am over flowing with gratitude

and relief - and want to

share it with you as it is fresh.

This evening at dusk,

I went to let the dogs out

of the kennel.

(In case you do not know this,

my dogs' favorite

game now is

to break out of the yard

and run around the

neighborhood -

my fence sucks and

none of my patching helps!!)

So they had been in the

kennel all day, and

they needed exercise.

I let them out and they

were running around.

I grabbed their bowl of water

and went inside to fill it

( I have no outside spicket

at my new house).

I came out 2 minutes later and

Christmas and Rose

were gone.

Cookie was there alone.

I ran to the

front of the house and

called to them and clapped.

They usually come right away.

I got to my driveway and

heard a thud and a yelp - just

like the one that killed

Buddy last year at this time.

My heart leaped to my

throat and I bolted down the

street.

As I ran I saw Rose

standing over Christmas,

who was laying on the

ground not moving at all.

He stayed like

that as I ran to him, calling to Rose.

Rose saw me and ran to me.

The person who had hit

Christmas was

stopping and  turning around.

Then, Rose ran toward the house.

I looked up, and when

I was about 5 paces from Christmas

(who had still not moved at all),he literally

SPRANG up and started

running toward our house!

I was so shocked, all I could

do was run after him.

Anjana had opened the front door

(she had heard the yelp

from inside the house)

and called them,

and they ran right inside.

I came in

and immediately burst into tears.

Anjana and I must have hugged

Christmas for 10 minutes.

I kept inspecting him, wondering

about internal injury or something.

He was playing, running, eating,

peeing. He is totally fine!

He is sleeping earlier than usual.

I gave him some arnica for aches and pains -

I was thinking he must be sore!

It was as if Amma knew

I could not handle having to tell

Anjana that another of her

dogs had died -

and she breathed life into him.

It was

so sudden and strange

how he jumped up.

I just had to share it with

you all.

Needless to say, all three dogs

are sleeping indoors tonight, and I

will not let them be outside

of the kennel alone

until I have a new

fence. I bought an invisible fence,

but I have to return it.

I watched

the training video and it

is way too much for 3 dogs.

I am going to

see if my fence guy will take

very small payments, because

I have noway to pay for a fence right now!

Thanks for sharing in this miracle!!!

Kyrai (berea, Ky)

I couldn't resist sharing the above- my friend Kyrai and her daughter Anjana's joy :-)

Cool pet story!   Animals are truely amazing.   Sounds like he got a good old head whomp and got knocked out, like birds do when they crash into windows.

But even then, its a 50-50 whether that bash with contact is going to be a live or die.  You are blessed to have it be a live!

Wow, awesome story!  I too have a pet miracle several times in the past 6 weeks (cat was hit by a car, secondary complications had me within minutes of putting her down, and she miraculously came thru.  Twice. She is still with me:) )
