101 degrees and we hauled water up this long dusty steep incline to see the delicate arch in Moab Utah today.

Without the oasis of shade trees and rocks we'd have been beaten down. There were plenty of folks doing the same thing, nuts just like us who wanted to see if we could do it.

We'd take any shade we could get.

Way up at the end of our hour (up one way) hike, we found a natural arch where we could rest and look out at awesome delicate arch.

Phil went to the arch and hiked all around the natural ampitheater there. He found friends from Buffalo, NY to talk to. I sat in the shade and talked to a woman named Gloria also from Buffalo. Galen ran up and down the mountain and KT rested under a tree . . .

It's quiet, HIGH, so beautiful . . . and HOT.
