The KEY
Simple coincidence? You be the judge:
"I have a friend who lives here in the city" I suddenly remembered aloud to friends as we jiggled along on the NYC subway.
"Maybe I can find her number and she could let us stay with her over the summer!" I mused.
My friend Janetta had been someone who'd allowed me to stay in her city apartment on weekenduring off work days from life guarding in Montauk, Long Island - the summer before.
Now I was back but this time with friends who wanted to live and work in NYC. We were visiting and seeking a job, with no place to live. We were young and felt 'immortal', trusing that life would take care of us!
I stood up in preparation to get off the train. Stood up and grabbed the metal pole directly next to JANETTA!
"Janetta, I only just now thought of getting in touch with you! OMG! I was going to try to find you to see if you'd let us stay at your apartment over the summer!"
Right there on the train she took an extra key (which she JUST HAPPENED to have on her) out of her purse, and handed it to me.
The chances of meeting her on that train at that exact time when we'd decided to begin searching for a place to stay were pretty slim, unless of course you believe that some things are created out of our attraction, that some things are NOT simply coincidences.
This was the same summer that I ran in to Shawn (in my Power of Fantasy blog)!
Light!
