Tonight
Well, I'm whipped! It's come this night, right before the movers come. I have been looking over past blogs to post here, but decided to just write about what's going on. This is our last weekend in Michigan as residents. Tomorrow very early I'll take the cats to Detroit for a flight to Portland, and depending on the weather before noon, they'll be able to fly. The conditions are predicted as too hot, but the early morning temps aren't so bad. If all goes well, the three kitties will be safely in the care of my friend Crissy. Next I drive straight to U-haul to get one of those transmission cooler boxes places on my car- then I'll attach a 5x8 trailer to my car and go home to begin the process of loading it up. Since there's a family reunion in town, a cousin and her husband are coming by in the afternoon to help me load. My daughter was going to do this but she wanted to go see her boyfriend at his college and paid her best friend 20 bucks to do it for her lol. I'll try to keep busy and not think about how freaked out my cats will be by the air travel and new home. We won't see them for nearly 20 days! On Sunday the movers come and I'll not have internet at home anymore because I'll have torn this all down to pack the computers and such. Once they take the rest of everything I'll be cleaning the condo and preparing for the tenants to move in on Monday. By monday we'll go to my friend Laura's home to spend the night one last time in Michigan. My aunt is bringing my first cousin from Buffalo so that he can come with us on our big road trip- through Iowa, Nebraska, three places in Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Idaho and finally to our new home in Corvallis. We'll take our dog, too. I start a new job early august, and my daughter will be flying to KY for college. My cousin will be flying home to NY. Suddenly we'll be new residents of Oregon and I'm not even going to think about the change of insurance, big bills to make up, un packing and settling in we must do on that end! I want to think about our 20 day tour of the west. So . . . that's what's going on tonight. I'll take plenty of photos and keep you posted. Plus, when I stop at the places that feel most amazing, I'll be sure to give some readings here on keen. Light! Fawn
