Ok, I admit, with a title like this, I may be opening up a can of worms. Different people have different beliefs, but, being from a social and natural science background I would have to state that if anything (and I mean anything!) happens in the world, then it must happen in accordance with the laws of nature.

Yes, if Jesus realy did wave his hands over water and turn it to wine, then it must be possible to do so in the world of nature.

But I am not writing this to discuss the New Testament, but to look at the singular issue that is in the minds of all readers and clients of readers. How does it work? I cannot give a full and complete answer to this in this blog, but I can focus on one aspect that might be of relevence or interest to anyone reading this.

The Human brain operates in terms of frequencies, pulses of energy resonating at anything from 0.0001 - about 45 cycles per second. the brain is an electrical machine as well as a chemical one. As such (and science agrees with me here) it will have without the shadow of a doubt, the ability to transmit and recieve elecromagnetic energy of the same frequency. It is not too much of a stretch of the imagination to suggest that if certain frequencies were dominant on this planet, and one could reach those self same frequencies through meditative or religious practices one could use the "carrier wave" to recieve and or transmit information at a distance.

As it transpires, the main brain wave frequency of a skilled meditator is and approxiamte 7.8 cycles per second. Also the frequency of the earth's own electromangetic resonance is at 7.83 cycles...

It would be hard to believe that this frequency, known as the Schumann Resonance and is natural in humans who practice certain exercises and happens to be a global naturally occuring phenomena and that humans experience psychic phenomena is purely down to chance.

In the Earth's own atmosphere the Schumann Resonance is strongest before dawn local time and weakest in the afternoon.

However I have yet to read about rocks or certain geographical locations giving off schumann resonance waves, but when I do hear about them, well, maybe the science fiction idea about "rifts" in space and time or wormholes between dimentions occuring in certain haunted locations might have more than a grain of truth in them . . .
