You Be Right, I'll be Happy!
Being right is part of ego. Being right, in my mind is having an
opinion or a knowing of something and the other person doesn’t hold the
same opinion or knowing.
My wise teacher taught that we can all be in the same room and have different opinions and all be correct.
Living life in this truth is much easier once mastered. It is
obvious that no one is going to see the same thing the same way. You
only look through your eyes and perceptions. No one else can view
things through your particular beliefs, only their own.
My work entails me being neutral and allowing energy and information
to come to me and through me to help my clients. Doing my work with
excellence, being in integrity and keeping peace in my life is
something that I strive for daily. I consider my work to be intuitive
and spiritual guidance and always am pleased when I hear positive
feedback. The other day was a bit different.
I heard some feedback that wasn’t so positive. Rather than making a
choice to feel bad, which I did momentarily, I chose to let it slide
off of me. There are so many reminders of how I have positively
affected my clients. Why would one negative feedback be given so much
power? I measured that particular reading by asking myself:
Did I do my work with excellence?
Was I in integrity?
Am I keeping peace in my life?
The answer was yes on all accounts. I would rather be happy than right. So, that is my choice today.
