FACE READING
When someone says "I love you," we look into that person's eyes to judge his or her sincerity. When we meet someone new, we pick up on tiny face signals of interest. How do you tell if they are sincere with you? It’s all in their facial expressions.
"I think your whole life shows in your face and you should be proud of that."
---Lauren Bacall
THE EXPRESSIONS OF FLIRTING
You make eye contact. They give a small smile and then look down and away, then look in to your eyes, followed with another quick smile and then glance down.
THE EXPRESSIONS OF INTENSITY
This person follows an intense comment with a rushed smile, then a nod, or tilts their head sideways to see how their comment affected you.
THE EXPRESSIONS OF THE BAD BOY OR GIRL
It's that hand-in-the-cookie-jar, love-me-because-I'm-naughty look. Often this expression is followed with an eye roll and a teasing bite of the lip. This is followed with a glance down then up, and drives a potential victim crazy; they don’t know whether to slap this person and run….. Or come back for more.
THE EXPRESSION OF DEEP INTEREST
He / She is gazing from one of your eyes to the other, resting on the bridge of your nose. Their triangle gaze pattern; eye,eye…nose, - lowers to cheek…cheek….mouth. The hotter things get the lower their eyes gaze. Soon their eyes gaze only at your mouth. This can suggest a desire to kiss you. {Unless one person is so short they are level with the others mouth...in which case it is the easiest level to look at. }
THE EXPRESSIONS OF LYING
A person who is lying to you will avoid making eye contact.
Hands touch the face, throat & mouth. Touching or scratching the nose or behind the ear is common to lying.
The timing of their emotions and gestures are off a normal pace. The display of emotion is delayed, stays longer…, then stops suddenly.
The lying lover may use your own words against you, or imitate you to show how outrageous you are instead of them.
Gestures/expressions of face don’t match the verbal statement, such as frowning when saying “I love you.”
THE EXPRESSION OF FAKE FLATTERY
Example: Someone says "I love it!" when receiving a gift, and then smile after making that statement, rather then at the same time the statement is made.
Expressions are limited to mouth movements when someone is faking emotions (like happy, surprised, sad, awe, ) instead of the whole face. For example; when someone smiles naturally their whole face is involved: jaw/cheek movement, eyes and forehead push down, etc.
ANCIENT CHINESE FACE READING
Each feature on the face - the eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth and ears reveals something about a person's personality. The overall shape of the face, forehead, jaw and chin also affect the total picture.
Learning to read the face is simple. Each feature has shapes and sizes that are easy to identify once you learn what you are looking for. After you determine the shape of a feature, there is a definition of a personality trait associated with it.
When you start, you simply memorize the definitions. What you will find though, is after you start to apply what you have learned, you will gain many more insights into the personalities of others. You can check your impressions with the personality traits listed for the features on your subject's face.
What Does Oprah's Face Say?
• Her high round forehead shows she is creative, adaptable, and flexible in problem solving. She likes to use her imagination and is clever and decisive. She resents being told what to do.
• Her high round eyebrows show her deep concern for people. She is tolerant and patient and needs time to take in all of the information before making a decision. She is always willing to hear more. The eyebrows are smooth and thick, which shows she is organized in her thoughts. She is the “idea” person and needs to leave the planning up to those who are better at handling the details. She has so many ideas coming in, that it may be difficult for her to concentrate on just one thing.
• Her large eyes show how sensitive she is. She does not like criticism or loud arguments. She forms deep bonds with people and has a strong need to be surrounded by people. She is better in dealing with people when she can see them, rather than talking to them on the phone. She is very emotional and cannot hide how she is feeling.
• Her nose shows that she needs to be in a position to make a major contribution, both in her personal life and at work. At the end of the day, she needs to know that she made a difference. She is generous and gives a wide umbrella of support to others. This support can come in the form of her time, energy and money. She lives in the moment and likes to spend money.
